SOURCE: mercedes e class cannot open the boot

I have a e320 2003 model, the same has happened to me. I wondered if it could be the fuse but couldn't find a fuse that managed the boot.....
This problem is identical to the other post "boot wont open electronicaly by the boot release latch above the number plate, the boot release button inside the car or the key fob! I have to use the manual key to mechanically open it now."

SOURCE: keys lock in trunk alarm will not allow trunk switch to lock

The solution is to pull out the back seat to get into the trunk. There are two bolts holding the bottom part of back seat (bolts located between bottom and top sections). Then pull out bottom section of back seat and you see the hinge for the top section, remove the bolts and then you can lift up and access the trunk. It's not that hard.

My 2008 town and country trunk will not open at all with key, inside or even manually. It just beeps and then sounds like it's latching to close again?

central locking fault might just need resetting, if you can get into the vehicle and remove the battery terminal. negative side. leave it off and then open all the doors by hand, and leave the doors open/boot as well. reconnect the battery after a few minuets or after 10min. it should reset. if not then it might be the drivers side lock that's the problem it has switches in there that control alarm and central locking

check the pin switch in the trunk and under the hood, the switch may be broken which will not close the circuit to tell the system they are closed.

I locked my keys in the trunk the 2 keys ignition and trunk keys r locked in the trunk ..how can i get the trunk opened to get them out?

I did this once myself to my 1989 crown vic. There should be 2 bolts on the back seat (follow the seat belt down, you'll feel them.) Take off the nuts from each side and the backrest of the entire seat pulls up and out. you should be able to see clearly into the trunk, grab a flashlight and hopefully hook your keys pulling them out.

Another possibility is the trunk open button in the glove box should you be so equipped, but it may require power to open, the crown vic would not release unless the car was on, but it could be worth a try.

Trunk will not open !

The trunk lock is incorporated in the central locking system. This means that you can either lock or unlock the trunk by means of either of the front doors. You can also operate the trunk lock directly with the master key even if the vehicle is centrally locked.

Are you sure it is the Master Key? Try the key in the glove box lock. The power door locks should unlock the trunk for you turn the key if it is right over to the right turn it right over to the left . you turn the key to far right to stop the boot been opened when the doors are not closed.

Hi, I bougth my new Volvo S40 in 2008 and never had any problem since then. Today, I found that I can not open the trunk, although the rest of the doors open fine. The central locking systems works...

If it is the same as the 2007 model.
The top of the key is a small slide switch.
You slide it and pull a vanity key out.If the glovebox has been locked it also possibly locks the boot with the same switch.
You will probably need to put key in glovebox lock and turn counter clockwise.
That key is to lock the seats to stop anyone getting into the boot via the fold down system as well.

Hope this helps.

Bmw 318 boot wont open fuse ok

Chances are the central locking actuator for the truck is locked up. If this is the case then you are going to have to use the key by turning it counter clockwise in the trunk lock and pushing in on the button.
