According to the parts book, 87-88 is totally different from 89-90 models.

Yes it can be Amp problem,but there are many other possibilities like loose connection,radio wires getting short.

Try unlocking the driver's door with the key. If it does not work thy the key in the pasongers door.

Probably bad antenna wire at the antenna itself. Try plugging a piece of bare wire into the antenna hole (the 1/8" hole in the center) on radio, you should get something, hissing or some sound.

try reseting the anti theft,turn the key on,leave it on for 10 minutes,then turn it off,and back on,for 10 minutes,and on again,then one more time,a total of three times,if this does not work,try it again.Also try activating the alarm,and then disarming it.

if the radio works and the speakers com on just tape it up and out of the way you may not even need this wire.

It sounds like your wiper motor is dying
