Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have an electrical connector 4 or 5 wire hanging down. It is located behind the radiators on the passenger side. Where does it plug in? I don't believe it is the head lights.

I recently had a replacement fan and fan shroud installed & the raidator removed & flushed of debris. This is probably when this wire became unfastened.

It may not connect to anything. Sometimes the manufacturer will have harnesses not used dependending on make and model and and vehicle options

Looking 4 location of computer

Maybe I can help, I just saw a picture of it, but couldn't find location.
From its look, though, it wouldn't be exposed to outside, so its got to be under the dash, and GM is prone to putting pcm's on the passenger side, behind the glove box...but wait, there's more: this is one of the smallest engine computers I have seen. It's a dark gray square, about 4 inches by 4 inches, flat on one side, and about 2 inches in height. One end of the little box, probably facing down in the car, is where the two large bulks of connectors plug in. Yes, two connectors, one above the other, each with two rows of pins- (in total there must be more than a hundred pins), and the two long connectors are about 2 inches high and 4 inches long in total, almost as big as the end they plug into. So if you looking up under the dash, you may not see the box, but you can't miss the large block of electrical wires going to the two thin but wide connectors plugging into the computer. Well, good hunting, Angel. If this helped, please let me know. If it didn't help, you can let me know that, too. Good day.

My add coolant light come on all the time, we chang the sensor, but it still come on. what is the problem.

Hello! The sensor is located on the right hand side (passenger) of the radiator. Approximately 4 inches below the radiator filler neck and cap on the engine side adjacent to the battery. The module is about 2" X 2" square with an electrical connector, gray in color. Is this the sensor you changed?saailer_152.jpg

If it is, check the connector for broken wires and dirty pins.....Guru...........Saailer

My fan wont come on in my caravan dodge98

behind the drivers or passengers side head light in a hard place to get to, is a fan relay. its not really a fan relay, its really a transistor. these are the most common failure for this vehicle. But first unplug the fan connector and look for a burnt electrical connection, you may find that this is the problem, if so either wire around the connector or replace the pigtail on both sides. Keep in mind that this is a high amperage connection and good heavy duty wire connection have to be made, so if you don't have any heavy duty connectors and a good way to crimp them then take it to a pro. If the plug looks good and the fan relay is bad you can relocate the fan relay to the frame in a easier to get to place. But the fan relay must be bolted down tight and have dielectric grease under it to dissipate heat.

1995 Grand Marqui feels like it is choking when driving

if it is bucking while driving every so often , or stalls when you slow down almost to a stop , it may be the crank position wire has a poor connection . it may also cause a no-start problem. the connector wire is on the passenger side of the engine underneath right behind the crank pulley.pull the wire connector off and check for corrosion on tab or inside of plug.... try using die-electric grease in the connector plug . it may solve your problem .

I need to check the engine error code on my 1992 Honda accord lx 2 door coupe but cannot find the connector ( which I have to jumper so that the engine light will flash the code). The repair manual says it...

It is a small, long blue plug with two wires, located above the passengers side kick panel among a bunch of other wires. If it has never been used, it will be taped up to that bunch of wires. Just remove the tape and pull the blue plug down and jumper it.

My car was searched going through customs and they searche dall the wiring above the passenger side knees (below glove box). Now my Ac/Defog/heater won't turn on. Is there a connection in point for the AC...

If you mean the blower doesn't work they may have unplugged the blower motor which is located behind the glove box with the plug pointing down I believe. The cover under the glovebox is also where the signal flasher is.

Where is the alternator located on a 92 saturn

It's on the right side of the engine when viewed from the front. It will be the one with the electrical connectors/wires coming off the back. No other pipes or lines to it.

Need to locate door ajar curcuit on 2002 F150 Super Crew

The door ajar wire is the Black w/ Pinks tripe wire, on the SuperCrew the driver's door is solo, and the other 3 are are in the same input to the GEM.

The passenger's side kick panel ( the plastic that covers the Fuel inertia switch ) is a connector C206, right above C203. There is another smaller looking connector above C206, and some small 2 pin ones shown back there, along with 2 ground lugs in the side of the cab sheet metal.

C206 is a square 16 pin connector, 4 pins by 4 rows.
C203 is also a square 16 pin connector, 4 pins by 4 rows.

The higher of the 2 connectors is the one you want, the Black w/ Pink stripe wire is in the outside column, 2nd to the last from the side farthest from the tab.
Looking at the connector with the tab on the top, the outside column should be ( from tab end ) :
pin #1 : Dark Green w/ Orange Stripe
pin #5 : White w/ Light Green stripe
pin #9 : Black w/ Pink Stripe <- This is the one for all 3 doors
pin #13 : ( bottom ) White w/ Light Blue stripe wire

The connector is numbered on the top row, under the tab ( that is why the pin #s are spaced out reading down the column ).

The wire in the door is in a loom, it is coming from the door latch ( that is where the switch is at ), so it might not be obvious.
It should not be in the connector for the door lock switch ( that is Pink w/ Black stripe wire, not the same ).
