What is ideler pully 2005 trailblazer

If you look at the engine from the front, there is a big belt called a serpentine belt. That belt connects the fan, air conditioner, power steering pump, alternator etc. There is a pulley on it the maintains the tension. The is the idler pulley. They are plastic in most cases and wear out or squeal.

1996 Toyota Tacoma tuning hot replaced thermostat still run. Hot

may be a waterpump issue or the cooling fan may not be working..some are electric others are driven by the belts..withthe engine off(and I mean stopped) try to spin the belt driven fan by hand,if it freewheels its bad,,(clutch unit on fan no good) this will not move the air through the radiator fins good enough to cool prperly..good luck..

My car shaking and running hot, don't know why

First thing to check would be the water pump. With the engine off, look under the hood and grab the fan with both hands. (Some cars have two fans, an electric one, and a belt driven one.) You want to grab the belt driven fan, and see if there is any play. Also check the coolant level, then check for leaks at the water pump. Make sure all belts are in place. This is the place to start, if the water pump is good, it could be a bad head gasket, you may have lost compression on one cylinder, causing the engine to run roughly.
