SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Aztek - AWD disable light and Anti Lock Light

AWD disabled from a sensor unit in rear differential that senses high temp. This thing is over $300. Whine is from fluid. Need to change fluid. This versatrack fluid is about $40 per bottle and you need 3 bottles. Thumping noise is from loose rear knuckle bushings. These are part of the entire rear knuckle assy. and you must replace complete knuckle.

SOURCE: 2002 poNtiac aztek anti lock

Typically means you have lost an anti-lock brake sensor as gone bad.
Take to local garage to get them to scan the computer. Will reveal if that is the problem, which sensor it is, or if problem lies elsewhere.

I can't get my Aztek Gear Shift button to press in. It is stuck in park. I have tried turning the key and it will turn but the button won't budge.

most likely it is ur brake pedal switch, it just behind the brake pedal arm, this switch must be triped by pushing the brake in order to shift into gear, if switch goes bad u cant shift. best of luck

When I park my car, a 2004 Aztek, it won't release the key. I have to start it up again and shift into other gears, then try it again. Sometimes it works, but sometimes not.

i would check the neutral safety switch, it will not release the key if it does not send the signal that the car is in park.

Pontiac aztek will not go into the ignition

Have you tried Lock ease or some other Lock Cylinder Lubricant? Even motor Oil usually will work but you will have to wipe off the Key several times. I have a 2002 Aztek and lubricate all the locks annually. I have had your problem only once and Oil did the trick. The only other thing I can think of is the possibility of someone putting a foreign object into the Lock such as a small piece of wire or Paper Clip. It could also have a worn out lock cylinder where the tumbler springs have popped out due to lack of lubrication and wear. Let me know!

You need to check the break transmission interlock switch located on the gear shifter. There is a two wire connector on the interlock one side is ground the other side is power -- make sure you have power and ground to the interlock -- if ok; replace interlock...if no power or ground check circuit continuity.
