You may just need to lube all the piviot joints under the truck ,on the passinger side you will see were the cable runs along side the trans.May want to try and get some lube up the cable as well.Pull back the rubber boot to access cable.I have a Haynes book that shows a adjustment spring located near the frame rail were the trans cable and the steering colum cable are joined but doesn't tell you how to adjust.Does show pulling back on white plastic collar to expose the retaining clip.I would just pull back the white collare and spray lube down the cable.Well good luck, and hope this helps.

Replace driver's side running light

The FRONT running light is serviced by removing the front filler panel just below the grill.
This panel is held in with spring clip retainers and is made to be removed without tools.
Once this panel is removed the bulb is easily accessed.

How to change a front headlight

First, open your car hood, then right behind the headlight unit, you will notice two clips per side, they are long and straight with a hooked end. Using the hooked end, just lift the clip up and move it away from the headlight, the left (when facing the front) clip will be between the headlight and the battery cover.
After taking out the clips, the headlight will be loose from the car. Look behind the headlight and you will see the wires running into the actual light to the bulb. What you would do is twist the light out (I believe counter clockwise) and the bulb will come out with its mount. Then unclip the bulb from the mount. Then just put on the new bulb and make sure the sides clip into the mount.
Then carefully put the mount and bulb back into the headlight unit and then twist it in clockwise, you will feel it go in properly, if not lined up properly, it will not be smooth and won't stay in place.
Then put the headlight unit back into place, and secure it back to the car with the clips you removed.
Note: Make sure not to touch the actual glass of the new bulbs as this will make them last a shorter period of time. Good luck

How can I replace or clean my headlight globe of a 1998 Galant

Headlight globe, meaning the inside of the headlight? If thats what you mean, only way to do it, is to take the lens off, and in order to do that, you need to take out the headlight, take off the rubber backings and take out the light bulbs. Then preheat your oven to 210 degrees, stick your light in there for 10 minutes, and pry apart the lens, since the glue will melt. Dont forget to undo the clips that also hold the lens to the housing. After you pry off the lens, clean or whatever you need to do. Then reseat the lens and hook the clips, then back in the oven it goes for 10 mins. Then hold pressure on the lens untill glue hardens.

Hope that helps.

They will not have or sell replacement globes, it will come with the whole headlight.

Headlight installation 1986 Toyota pickup. How do you get the headlight housing off? There are little clips around it, but I can't remember how to undo them.

Take a long flat head screw driver and a good flash light and move the tabs on the clips in to the slots. when you get the grill off then use a philpps screw driver to remove headlight holder. be care full those clips break easy and some people put wood screws in to replace the broken clips.

Can't adjust 2004 Ford Expedition headlight

I had a similar problem on my 04 expedition. I just bought it and the headlights were aiming too far down. A rather larger gap was noticeable between the headlight and the hood. The so called adjustment bolt did nothing. I removed the headlights and found 2 issues. On the adjustment bolt there is a washer. Make sure when you re-install the headlight the washer sets on top of the plastic slot and is visible when looking down behind the headlight. Without the washer being in the correct location it will not tighten the headlight in place.
Second I found the adjustment bolt adjusted nothing. It merely tightened the headlight in place. What I had to do was to loosen this bolt and physically move the headlight into place and the re-tighten the bolt. Hence the slot is the adjustment. Turning the bolt CW or CCW did not move the headlight.
I tried several things trying to figure why the lights would not move until I realized I could move the light with my hands and tightened them in place using the adjustment bolt.

This may not be your issue but I found the owners manual instructions to be useless.

Severe engine clunking after oil change

Appearently Mr Lube is either going to end up fixing your car. I dont know what could have happend other than maybe they put the wrong type of oil back in it. I would definately get ahold of some of the higher ups at Mr Lube and "Ensure" they put your car back the way it was when it arrived there. There is no purely coincidence about it. They were the last ones to touch it. They will be the first ones to fix it. Make sure you are very firm with them, and keep track of names/dates/events as this important if you need to consult an attorney because of their negligence. Hope this gives you some direction, Thanks for using FixYa!

Driverside headlight out.

Ok a little complex. You have to open the hood. Look near the battery on the headlight assembly tou'll see a clip and a lever. You have to depress the clip and move the lever completely down. Lots of times seized. Use as much lube to release the slider. Once you get it low enough I use a suction cup on the headlamp and pull it out while moving the lever down. Once they line up inside you can pull out the assembly to change the bulb. Sometimes we have to replace the slider guide in the head lamp retainer when they break. Sometimes not an easy fix.
