The clutch pads always face the flywheel. Change the release bearing and front crankshaft oil seal while you are at it, you'll be glad you did!

SOURCE: Renault megane clutch
Unsure about Reanult-specific app here, but usually the higher-deck faces the pressure plate. The springs on the disc are higher on one side. I'm sorry I don't know about Renault exactly.

SOURCE: I have removed the gearbox from my 2000 MB 100 Van. I found the clutch plate has disintergrated. I noticed the Flywheel clutch pressure face looks like it will come off. Is there more to this clutch s
flywheel bolted to engine, clutch disk and pressure plate, also has a throw out bearing that should be replaced at the same time.
you don't need to replace the flywheel unless it is cracked though you should have it turned down at a machine shop.
