Mileage has nothing to do with the cat's going bad its fuel quality and how you service the car usually try putting some carb cleaner through the system

Testimonial: "thanks, that should help if it is the cat's but the code displayed says nothing about cat's,only mentions cam position sensor not sure which is correct when my daughter picked the vehicle up the ses light was no longer on but running the same. shop told her it would be cheapest to have a muffler shop replace the cat's but due to the code it displayed not sure if its is the cats she says it runs fine until it warms up after a few miles then when she accelerates the rpms rev but speed stays the same but gradually increases"

You can go to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, or other auto parts stores and they will hook up their OBD diagnostic tool to your car and it will read the codes that are causing you your problem. Then they can tell you what the code means, or at least a general idea of where the problem is. For instance, I had a check engine light on, I took it to Advance Auto, they identified the code and told me it was related to the ignition or a spark problem. He told me in his experience to check the spark plugs and spark plug wires first. It was a cracked spark plug boot that gave me an ignition problem whenever it rained or was damp/humid out. You can also google the actual code once you know it, the auto parts stores will give you a printout after they run the OBD scan tool on your car.

I have a 2001 Kia Rio..my check engine light came on so I took it to Auto Zone and they gave me a code that says P0455..something to do with emissions. I did everything they told me to do and then...

That code means that there is a big leak in the evaporative emissions control system. What did you attempt to do to repair this? If you replaced the fuel cap, what brand did you use? KIA has spring loaded caps that are known to fail pretty easily.

Cuts off at 70mph when accelerating.

Best thing to do is go to an Auto Zone and have them scan your truck for any DTC codes. Auto Zone scan free of charge, there is just to many things that can cause the engine issues your running through such as detonation during acceleration due to timing issues to lack of fuel pressure. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your truck running 100%

Reset SES light on Murano.....

I had a similar problem. I took it to a near by auto zone and asked them if they could hook up their scanner to the computer and clear the ses light. The light was reset and that fixed the problem. You might want to try this since they do it for free. Hope this helps.

2000 Nissan Maxima dipping RPM's and no acceleration

No problems with EGR valves/system on this model car. Its located under the throttle body. Your valve is electronically controled by the ECM/Computer. Pretty bullet proof setup. What is the actual code number that autozone gave you?? Let me know the code number and will take it from there.
