A bad ignition switch could control almost everything. It has a lot of outputs.
If you can get a schematic, it will show up there.
According to my car's schematic, the ign switch does not feed the hazard and flasher lights.
Hope this helps.

Can a faulty ignition switch ALONE cause 0 fuel pressure when cranking?

If you have 100,000 miles or close to it you needed or would need a fuel pump anyway.Your mechanic sounds like a knowledgeable skilled honest one, he didn't even charge you for some items.
Stick with him/her as you both will get all the problems solved.
The work he has done is smart logical work so far.
Next time it does not start right away, keep cranking the engine to get the oil pressure up.If it starts when the oil pressure builds it may be you are not getting a prime cycle when you first turn on the key some times.

What's your problem?we have a 94 chevy cavalier, the blinkers stopped working and our mechanic can't find the problem.

check flasher ,temperarialy replace with one known to be good,if they work that is the problem.
check bulbs, same thing, use good bulb to check.
look for crossed,or shorted wires, also check turnsignal switch.some automobiles are designed to have the blinker stop working and the indicator burn steady on that side to show which side the bad bulb is on.
could be rusty socket also.

I have a problem i was told in my dash. The blinker, flasher and my air/heat work some time and then it does no. I had two repair location put on a machine and they both said that the reading seem to be...

The only thing that I can find that has both the turn signals and the Heater/Air conditioner in common would be the circuit that runs from pin 4 on the ignition switch (Blackwire with an Orange stripe) to the junction block (Fuse Panel) inside the passenger compartment. (Pin M2, Connector 4 at the junction block) It could be a bad ignition switch and/or a burned or loose connector on either end of this wire.

Jeep blinker and radio stop

u have the gremlins...they are electronic demons that devour logical mechanisms. Proceed to the garage and ask for a quarentine. Sounds like a short, but probably is not...perhaps a relay...maybe the computer. Try testing all the electronics in the cab...and then check fuses and relays...then if all that is fine...take to a mechanic and ask for a computer inspection...I read a thread on a forum that said that the computers in the 99 wrangler might have had a bad batch program in it that cause the lights to malfunction on the dash but what is a blinker...and a radio, a electronic.

1999 vw beetle. blinkers, wind shield wipers not working.

check your ground conections under the dash first. and if they look ok take them apart and clean them anyway, and if the problem is still not fixed look for what all of these systems have in common. i would suspect the grounds though its common on vw problems.

You can clean the switch without having to replace it. I had the same problem and for about $10 worth of cleaner, grease, and cotton swabs I fixed it. Check this website for very detail cleaning instructions and pictures. You have to register as a user to get the pictures.
