Question about 2008 Subaru Outback
Key fobs have new batteries but operation lock/unlock doors is intermittent. Works fine only if car is in the sun or hot after a long drive.
Clean the ir sender on the remote, check for short curcuit in door wiring,or ignition switch is going bad(security module on ignition switch)

Testimonial: "The fob transmitter is RF not IR? My theory, based on my electronics background, is that there is a temperature sensitive fault in the receiver module; however I know nothing about central locking systems & will respect & pay heed to your advice. Many thanks"
