No-- but the hose at that wheel can collapse internally and shut off the fluid flow to the calliper or wheel cylinder
If it is a used car a "shonky" person may have put a rivet in the line to stop the oil leaking out before it was which case the answer will be yes.

How to bleed brakes on 2003ford zx2

You need to have someone to help you as they will need to pump the brake while you release the pressure at the wheels, have the helper pump the brake pedal and then hold it while you bleed the air off. To begin be sure the master cyl. is full and check it often as you do the bleeding. Start at the right rear wheel and then the left rear and then do the same in the front. Be sure the helper does not remove there foot from the brake pedal until you have the bleeder shut or else you will draw air back into the sys.

How To Help Keep Your ABS Brake light Off On Your Dashboard

Have you ever driven in someones car and seen the ABS light lit up like a Christmas Tree on the dash board?
Here are a couple of helpful tips on how to keep this braking system in good shape.
#1. When replacing your Disc brake pads be certain NOT to hit the wheel sensors on every wheel as damaging them can kick the ABS light on an when this light comes on the ABS system shuts down until it is repaired.

#2. Try to use the newer ceramic disc brake pads as they are less likel;y to throw dust all over the wheels and the sensors impediing the workings of the wheel sensors, thus requiring more frequent cleaning of the brake dust residue that forms on the sensors and ultimately causing the BCM to read a system failure and shut down the system till it is fixed.

#3. Be sure to have your wheel and axle bearings inspected for excess play as if they go bad the wheels can ultimately vibrate and wobble sending this information through the particular wheel sensor and back to the Body Control Module thus setting off the ABS light, and perhaps if the axle bearing etc. is bad enough, the excessive wobble could be translated as a wheel slippage thus causing the ABS to lock up the brake caliper on this particular wheel and create all sorts of havoc.

How to bleed brakes on a 2006 lexus 470

here is a picture of your brake caliper. on the upper richt hand corner you should see a spout on a hex bolt, this is your brake bleeding nozzle.

to bleed brakes you fill the brake fluid, leave the cap off, mash in the brake pedal and hold, while someone else opens and closes the brake bleeding nozzle on the caliper. do not release the brake pedal until the nozzle is shut, then check to see if the brake fluid needs filled again. do this at least 3 times, (mash, losten, tighten, release, check level) for each wheel, starting on the furthest away wheel from the point where the air entered the system, moving towards the one closest to the repaired leak.

it is a 2 man job unless you get a kit, or tubes and buckets.

I was told about a possible shut off feature on my 96 villager for brakes so the fluid is stopped from leaking now unsure of what to look for wondering if there might be an image for this or if anyone can...

Many cars used a duel master cylinder system where there are 2 pistons in the master cylinder body. the systems are arranged so that there is brakes on 1 front wheel and a diagonal opposite rear wheel so if there is a loss of fluid from say a broken brake hose then only 1 set of wheels would be affected
If you look at the master cylinder you will see 2 pipes . These go down to a adaptor block and off to the relevent wheel sets.

A bent rotor or a stuck piston in ur caliper either from dirt in caliper or a bad your brake hose. Thats what I'd say were the most likely causes and if you don't feel a wobble I'd say the caliper on one of your wheels. chk ur pads if 1 set is worn a lot more than the others or an excessive amount of brake dust on 1 rim that could be your culprit. This evening my 2001 GMC Sonoma was in 4-wheel drive. As I was backing out of a parking spot, I heard a clunk and had no brakes. I continued to back up with no brakes and then finally felt my brakes coming...

I would not drive that truck 1 more foot until that brake situation is rectified! No the 4 wheel drive cannnot make the brakes go out, they are 2 seperate systems entirely and have aero to do with the other as far as operation. This is a very dangerous condition and needs to be fixed BEFORE you ever drive it again! Brakes go out , dual reservoir master cylinders have a less likelihood of total failure than the old single reservoir types, so you should of had 2 wheels diagonally enen if a brake system failure has occured! better fix this one and before you drive it anywhere!! You could die and or kill someone!

My abs & brake lights go on & off brake pedal seems soft brake fluid - ok, no leaks, has new brake lines, slamming on the brakes locks 'em up. no abs, right? 2000 gmc jimmy 4.3

Sounds like you might have air in the brake system. You will need to bleed the brakes to remove air. Start with the passenger back wheel. use a small hose and submerge the end in a glass bottle filled 1/3 full of brake fluid. The other end goes on the nipple of the brake bleeder. Have someone pump the brakes and then hold the pedal down then loosen the bleeder. then tighten the bleeder. you should see bubbles in the brake fluid. Keep repeating this procedure until you see no bubbles. You might have to put as much as 1 quart of brake fluid thru each wheel to remove air. Then you do the driver side rear followed bypassenger side front and finally driver side front

I have a 93 jeep the drivers wheel keeps locking up i me what do i do

This really can be one of two problems that I can think of off the top of my head. Either your wheel bearing is seized up, or the caliper on that wheel is seizing up clamping down on the rotor locking up the tire. I would think your caliper is frozen. You will need to remove the tire and inspect it. Take the caliper off of the truck and have someone step on the brake pedal. The caliper should clamp shut. Now take a very big pair of channel locks and rap a rag around the jaws and use it to compress the pistons in the caliper. If you feel a lot of resitance then you should repalce the caliper and the brake line on that side of the car. This should fix your problem.

There is 3 ways. 1 by yourself, you can let gravity help. Start with the farthest wheel. Open the valve and let the fluid run into a catch can. Not for long, and do this several times per wheel. Check your fluid reservoir often.
2 With help, have someone pump up the brake pedal and hold it. Open valve, then close it then let off pedal. Do this several times per wheel. Check reservoir often.
3 Use a brake bleeding tool. Some auto parts stores will rent them. Follow the instruction.
