I would expect that for that sort of money the dealer has a detailed explanation of what has to be done and not an answer of yea we can fix it but it will cost that much
The problem sound like an out of adjustment latch for the top and that will keep the buzzer active
Maybe a talk with a panel beater or panel repair shop may reveal the true reason and be at a better price.
