Hi,the best place to start is at the gas tank, this is where you will find the float that gose up and down with the level of gas,its probberly stuck, fist pull the cable off the connector and go and put the ignition on now the gadge should be on nill,if so replace sender should solve your problem.

1995 yucon gas gauge reading iratically reading past full bouncing all over. now stays past full

Could be a short in the wiring, or a power problem.
You could unplug the harness at the tank to find out if it is a sending unit problem, but the truck won't run with the harness unplugged.

Why my 99 nissan quest pinging a lot during hot weather

Switch to premium to see if that is a temp fix. Then run a full strength fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank.

Something is going on with your electronic brake control module (EBCM) which is delivering "rough road" data to the ECM. This could be a faulty sensor in the system, but I suggest you have the EBCM checked by a dealer.

99 3.8 camaro wont fire.

Clean your battery terminals. When you jump start it you are connecting straight to the terminals. You are losing voltage between your battery post and the battery terminals. When you take the terminals off, you can clean everything with battery terminal cleaner. It is a spray that most all auto supply stores have. Before you put the terminals back on, put some dielectric grease on them, also available at parts stores.

Gauge cluster

You can unplug the harness at the tank and see if the gauge circuit is shorted to ground between there and the dash.

The gas gauge for the front tank on my 1992 F150 is stuck past full

You probably have a ground wire not making contact to ground on the front tank sending unit. OR the sending unit itself inside the tank is faulty. Either way, when a gas guage goes to full all the time (empty or full), this indicates that NO ground is available for the sending unit.

My 1988 camaro is running bad and I was told that the gas is bad

If its bad or old gas, first chg. the fuel filter, then put some fuel additive in the tank like dry gas or fuel injector cleaner or fuel stablizer and fill it up with new gas and run it. when seting over the winter or a extended period of time it will collect moisture. The only way to get the old gas out is either siphen it out or drop the tank to get it out. I would do the additive its better than the alternative.
