So many possibilities. Might start by checking cat converter for clogged.

You could handle a do-it-yourself-tune-up....
Get the Hanyes manual, and follow tune-up procedures.
Replace the spark-plugs, change engine-oil/filter, air-filter, service the injector body, change coolant/thermostat

SOURCE: we replaced pads& callipers, bleed

Check the vacuum hose going to the brake booster mounted on the firewall in front of the driver in the engine compartment. If that is intact and connected with no holes then the problem is the Master Cylinder.

SOURCE: brake peddle is ok when

sounds like you need major break work. Check the pads, rotors and also the brake booster and master cylinder.

My Mitsubishi lancer 4g15 dohc gdi starts perfectly but sometimes doesn't start at all,I hav now parked it until its fixed,my mechanic suspects the head gasket but I doubt. Wat could be th problem ?

Probably not the head gasket as that problem would be constant.
When it does not want to start, you'll need to figure out if it is a fuel or spark problem to know which system to inspect.

Check to see if #1 &4 use a common coil pack. If so, = likely culprit.

Sounds like your transmission is having problems. Have you changed the fluid ever? This is also a symptom of a shift solenoid or band. If you don't get this looked at you will be in the thousands to fix. Get it taken care of now and it will probably be around 500.00.

Dashboard warning '; engine too hot stop car

The first thing I would do would be check the fluid level in the radiator. Sounds like the car is overheating under load due to lack of coolant. If the coolant level is ok then the radiator cap may be leaking pressure and causing the car to overheat.

Have you done a mechanical test on the fuel system?? First things first, please test without replacing parts, it might get expensive just to replace parts.

Sounds like its time for a tune up. Start there and your mechanic will be able to note any other abnormal conditions. change fuel/air filter and any other maintenance items you haven't done so far.

you need to check the timeing on your truck you must short out the timeing with a paper clip in the dignostik port place the paper clip on e1and t the cap for the diogport should have it marked on the inside conetk timing light and start eng you should have timing set at 5 degers TDC.if the timeing is set coreck you timing mark should not move at all.if it is dancing arownd your timing chain need replaceing.**** if all is well and you dont have timing problems check the catolitck converterit may be pluged allthow the exoust is flowing out the tail pipe that dose not meen that your catoletick converter is ok.you may need too replace it.

your question before about fuel starvation may be correct. diesels have a habit of clogging fuel filters and spark plugs, they get overgapped. Try these items, if changed already, try looking up the engine light code, autozone does this for free, this will definetly lead you to the problem.

the Brake pedal is a huge Pedal. Move your foot over.. Be less lazy in your foot placement. Its an 08 so i'm assuming fairly new to you.. Its gotta be different from what your used too. Sit up straight, slide your seat up..move your foot over, and drive. Sleeping is for Beds..
