There is alot to fix. The question is to find a good mechanic.
If you ha e that covered :
1 check engine belt.
2 see if engine is locked up by manual crank.
3 now you have to do the work.
2000-3000 for parts and 2000 - 3000 for a good mechanic.
The prices vary due to area you live in and the mechanics locally.where I live it would be 6000 for total job.
I live in a metropolitan area there is high competition level but the cost is high in the area, also an area with few mechanics will be higher.
Best bet ask around to find a quality mechanic who will find all the bad parts.
There may be a few mote parts necessary than you listed but thet are included in my estimate..
TOTAL COST WILL MOST LIKELY BE ABOUT 5300 to 5800 for a good job but please make sure the car is really worth almost 6000 dollars. You can buy a used car for 8 to 12 grand. Also keep in mInd the additional cost of items in your vehicle that need to be fixed and adjusted to get it in tip top shape.
THE BIG QUESTION IS IT WORTH IT!
Good luck glad to help!

(Sorry for the news, a much better estimate if I saw vehicle.)

Fix seized engine

There's really no way of knowing without examining the engine.
I doubt they did anything connected to replacing the starter to cause the engine to lock up, but I'm not there in person.
I would suggest having the car towed to another shop for a second opinion. If the engine is locked up someone will have to take it apart to find out why.

My jeep cherokee 1990 4.0l is not getting any current in the fuelinjektor

If the check engine light does NOT come on when cranking, at the times when it won't start, and the relays are clicking and buzzing, then your ECU is in need of repair. The engine will only start after the check engine light comes on and the ecu is what controls that. ECU is likely going bad, causing the delayed start problem typical of early 90's jeeps. Reasonably priced repair or replacement services for your jeep ECU are available on ebay.

Water pump locked up on 1997 Isuzu Rodeo,V-6.Mechanic told me it also jumped time and would be 1600.00 to repair.Does this sound correct?

it is possible this happened since the 97 Isuzu engine is an interference engine and has a timing belt, not a chain. When the pump locked up, the stress of the non moving water pump could have forced the belt to jump time. this then in all probability damaged valves in the head since they collided with the moving pistons, making this a very expensive problem. You might consider trying to find a used engine in good condition as it might be less to swap an engine than to fix this one, or you could price this repair in other facilities. It's a 97 so you will find these engines in many locations like ebay, junkyards and Craigslist.

I am planning to buy 2000 audi A4 with 95000 miles on it? What do I need to check on this car before I drive off the lot?

This info is from MSN autos.

Occasional problems on this vehicle, 4-cylinder engines only, are failures of the Engine, Engine Vacuum Hoses and the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. Failure of the Engine is caused because the engine oil gels. When proper maintenance schedules for oil changes are followed, oil gelling should not occur. Audi has issued an 8 year unlimited mileage goodwill repair for this condition. The cost to replace the MAF Sensor is estimated at $380.00 for parts and $60.00 for labor. The cost to repair the Engine Vacuum Hoses is estimated at $25.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor. The cost to repair the Engine is estimated at $4,775.00 for parts and $845.00 for labor. The cost to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor is estimated at $500.00 for parts and $52.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.

Occasional problems on this vehicle are failure of the Comfort Control Module, with 4-cylinder engines only, and failure of the 4-Way Hazard Flasher. The cost to repair the Comfort Control Module is estimated at $290.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor. The cost to replace the 4-Way Hazard Flasher is $31.50 for parts and $91.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65.00 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.
