How to change radiator 2000 dodge durango

It's actually pretty easy.
Here you go:
remove fan
remove fan shroud
open petcock and drain fluid (bottom corner of tank on engine side)
remove upper and lower hoses
remove tranny coolant lines
unbolt radiator and lift out. Reverse these steps to install the new one. Hope this helps.

What is the 2002 olds alero(2.2 Litre with the 4t40) transmission fluid capacity after changing the transmission out completly. I am talking the torque converter and the pan+filter. Full Service. thanks...

It should hold between 10-13 qts It all depends on how big of cooler you have and if the lines, cooler, and torque converter are completely drained. Heres a tip before you start the car take the tranny lines off the tranny and take a 6'(it dont have to be exactly 6") long rubber hose that fits tight on 1 of the tranny lines. Slide it over the line and clamp it on there, take a pick, nail, screw or anything that will make a small hole. Make a hole in the rubber hose about 2" from the tranny line. Get 1 or 2 cans of brake clean put the straw from the brake clean in the hole you made and put an air blower in the other end of your hose. start spraying the brake clean and the air blower at the same time and keep spraying till it is flowing clear out of the other tranny line. Make sure your flowing through the cooler and not the tranny. By doing this you get all the crappy tranny fluid from the old tranny out of the lines and cooler. Watch your eyes it burns very bad if you get brake clean in them. WEAR GOOGLES OR SAFETY GLASSES!!!! Goodluck, Kyle

93 chevy 1500 4wd trans. shift problems.

See if the tranny has an exterior modulator valve. If so remove the vacuum line and see if there is tranny fluid in the line. It will be located on the pasenger side rear of the tranny. What's happening is the engine is sucking tranny fluid through the vacuum line directly into the intake and it doesn't burn well.

The lower line off the transmission will connect to the lower radiator fitting and the upper transmission to the upper radiator.
Good luck.

Transmission coolant line leaking on the transmission side.

Is the line before and after the connector steel? If you can cut the leaking section out w/ a hack saw, u can slip a section of gas line over the trans cooling line, and put a clamp on both ends, quick cheap fix that will last a long time.

Hard shiftting transmission

On this van with this problem you should have it serviced by a flush tool. You can also get BG Trans additive to help this. I would say if you can drop the pan yourself do it change the filter add fluid and the BG additive. If you feel real good about your skills takr the upper trans line off the radiator drop it into a bucket add a funnel to you dipstick tube start the van and pour in the fluid at the same rate it comes out into the bucket. Do this untill you run 12 quarts through. Then stop the van reinstall the trans line. check the fluid level. If ok then install the BG trans additive. Google and enter your zip code that will tell you the shops where you can buy the chemical.
