First check the spark plug gaps to make sure they are correct and wire condition also must be known(ex.) how old are they ? next if both are O.K. verify that fuel is getting to the throttle body you can use starting ether spray in the throttle body if the car starts then there is a fuel delivery issue/I know you said you here it working but there still could be something wrong(fuel pressure regulator)or the pumps locked up and didn't blow the fuse /but I don't think so/// if the car doesn't start after spraying then we have a sensor issue verify that the T.P.S (throttle position sensors voltage is correct through the range of movement most likely there is but we must check first before$$ if it's O.K. then what I originally thought was your problem is the culprit the Idle air control valve is N/G when they go they just quit altogether and this is most likely it, but you must understand that I'm not at the vehicle to check myself or know the condition of other components related to the starting system in your car so you must go through the checks of all before the $$$$$ spree starts & your still at square one below are photo's of the units I don't know which motor you have 3.0/3.8 so here's all of them incase you don't know what to look for (1) the 3.0 idle air then below it the throttle position sensor
Was driving down road and my 89 ford taurus and it - driving-down-road-89-ford-taurus-died-oisyybvu512utfqylsz5thch-1-0_0.jpg

now the 3.8 version here below we have the idle air control valve
and the throttle position sensor shown here they are similar in appearance but are not the same so check them and like I mentioned before you must evaluate the running condition of the engine before we go on a $$$$$ chase buying the wrong parts so if you can run down a check list here for yourself to know Was driving down road and my 89 ford taurus and it - driving-down-road-89-ford-taurus-died-oisyybvu512utfqylsz5thch-1-9.jpgoads/images/driving-down-road-89-ford-taurus-died-oisyybvu512utfqylsz5thch-1-9.jpg" alt="driving-down-road-89-ford-taurus-died-oisyybvu512utfqylsz5thch-1-9.jpg" class="h_mi" /> (a) car in good running condition before the problem (b) tune up evaluation EX. plugs/wires condition (c) fuel delivery for sure/fuel pressure regulator--no bent lines from hitting or driving over big rocks or jumping the curbs also when you changed the fuel filter was clean fuel coming out of both sides or none at all when disconnected/if none the screen in the tank is clogged with dirt from a bad gas station post back with progress here and be specific to engine and what you have done so any one here is able to help you go further you can also say hey! Stephen and I'll know it's you I have to start a motor job today so be patient I'll get back to you

SOURCE: 2001 ford taurus wont start

It could be bad plugs, plug wires, a bad ground will do this as well. Check to see if it has the three main things.

Anther common problem is the crank shaft speed sensor. It will cause it to not spark and not start.

2003 ford Taurus been sitting up try to start just spins over want start

Crank but no start is either no spark or no fuel to engine.
Best way to narrow it down is to just spray a 1 second dose of starting fluid into the air intake before you try to start it. If it does start then die it is lack of fuel or bad fuel to engine. In all the modern EFI cars the most likely faults on fuel failure with fuel in car are:
1. fuel pump failure.
2. fuel pump relay
3. fuel filter plug

If it fails to fire on the starting fluid it is lack of spark, and the trouble shooting procedure will be to investigate the coil pack.

Does the 97 svt cobra mustang have a distrubitor

No distributor listed.
Looks like it uses two 4 cyl coil packs, one on each side of the engine.
Follow the plug wires - the module is part of the coil pack.
Could be a relay, or the pump.
You'll need to figure out if it is lack of spark or fuel to proceed.

My 80 ford f150 v8 302 wont start up i

if this is a 1980 F150, emissionwiz is correct in saying it has a carburetor, if your engine runs on ether, you do not have fuel supply to the engine. Check fuel delivery at the front of carburetor, should be a line screwed into the carb, may be connected by a rubber hose, remove this line and crank engine, look to see fuel is gushing out of the line, if no fuel the pump is bad, check fuel lines back to pump for leaks, replace leaking lines if necessary. If you get fuel then your float inside the carb is stuck, and the carb will need some attention, hope this helps, let me know

Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.
