Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
I had a similar problem with a very difficult cold start. The problem turned out to be a corroded connection at the block thermometer that feeds precise data to the ECU. It thru error ECU codes. I removed the connector cleaned the spade part by scraping to bright metal and the plug part with a toothpick rotated in the small recesses. I reset the error codes, and walla it started instantly, just like it was new. (20 yr. old car) Corrosion causes bad behavior. A few months later same kind of problem with the knock sensor. So do that cleaning too.
