SOURCE: 95 villager/quest. I have changed fuel filter

the egr should be replaced or removed and cleaned with a good carburettor cleaner and checked for operation. the 34 refers to the knock sensor not having the right info to be sent to the ecu(in simple terms). you may have to replace the knock sensor but this is in the centre of the engine under the intake. takes a few hours. plan of attack: first have the vehicle scanned for p0 codes and with a scanner that reads "live data". what youre looking for is when youre accelerating the engine timing should be changing. if its not, change the knock sensor. then attack the egr which may be a little more difficult to fix. try the cleaning and check for operation. verfity all hoses are good and routing is correct. verify vacuum at the source. what causes an engine to start running great is it is dragging the affected cylinder and can longer be felt at those rpms. it wouldnt hurt to perform a compression check on this either. let know. cheers

Location of map sensor for 94 f250xl 4.9 straight 6

Not thinking it HAS a MAP sensor. It has a MAF sensor in the air cleaner duct tube connection. Some engines,a little newer, had MAP sensors AND MAF sensors. The MAP sensors were near or on the EGR valves. don-ohio

05 Bonneville sle wont idle till warn

Sounds like the M.A.F. sensor. It monitors the air temp before it goes into the engine like example, if its cold out,it tell the p.c.m to adjust the air, fuel mixture because it need a little more gas to start and run a cold engine compared to it be 80 degrees out and the engine needing less gas to run. I try to explain it the best way that I can but it sounds like to me you have a bad MAF sensor.the usually located in the breather box by the air filter or in the inlet tube before it goes into the intake. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted!

2006 ford focus idle speed too low when cold

Have you replaced the spark plugs and wires? Also,a dirty MAF sensor can play hob with your idling.
GENTLY clean the wires in the MAF sensor with a MAF sensor spray and a clean fine-haired brush. My electric shaver brush(long haired side)workedreally well on mine. You'll hafta buy a
special torx set with the holes drilled in the ends.Look at the screws holding the MAF sensor and you'llsee what I mean. Hope this helps! Don-ohio (:^)

My 2002 impala chugs when accerating & idling.

I have a 2002 Impala with 3.8L.
I had a similar problem with mine. As I recall, mine would idle OK, but would chug and buck like crazy on acceleration. Note: I had NO check engine light!
I tried a new coil pack. No help.
Then I swapped the MAF sensor and that took care of it.
You can try to clean it first. It's located between the throttle body and the air filter.
They sell spray MAF cleaner at the parts store.
As I recall you will need a special torx socket to remove the sensor.

'95 4.0 liter grand cherokee chugs in 80 degree or higher weather

Change the mass air flow sensor (maf) . Summer months tend o be humid, this could cuz the sensor to react strangly and alter the Stoch/richness or the air-fuel mixture....Check it out tell if it its helpsful, if not There are acouple others we can look at..

Engine chugging

Sounds right. Either Coil pack(s) or MAF sensor. Buy one and swap it out until you find bad COP (coil on plug). Each spark plug has one and there is not really a good way to test under stress. MAF sensor is just past the intake air filter. You can buy a spray at the auto store to clean this, which may help. Don't touch the sensor itself (ith your finger) as this will ruin it. Just soak it with the spray.
