Most car have the rely under the hood of the car on the drive side by the firewall. If you looking to fuses they can be located either under the hood, left side by the driver side or on some model in the truck of the car.

Where is the transmission relay at on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES?

The transmission does not have a fuse, only a power-up relay located in the under hood fuse panel, near the front of the panel.

If there is a problem with this relay, your transmission will reduce to fail safe mode only. Fail safe is the mechanical-only control which leaves you with Park, Reverse and 3rd gear only, provided there are no internal failures.

What exactly is the problem you are having?

Your ASD should be powered by a fuse located under the hood in the power distribution center. I would check that fuse, then replace the actual relay as that is the cheapest easiest possible solutions. If the problem persist then that indicates that there is a problem causeing the computer to shut down the engine, seeing that it is linked to your transmission it could be a short in the harness but that is speculation with out a formal diagnosis.

The transmission appears to be stuck in "limp-in"

The Transmission Relay is in the Power Distribution Box. It's one of the 3 smaller identical relays underneath the row of 7 larger identical relays. It's the top one immediately below the larger relays. Between the Park Lamp(Larger Relay) & Fuel Pump (Smaller Relay).

Fuse #14 is also for the Transmission Relay.

Find inhibitor relay cannot find it

The starter inhibitor relay is located in the relay box just behind the headlight on the driver's side. It is Nissan part 25630-9662 and has six pins. There are two normally closed contacts that turn off cruise control when you start the engine. The other contacts are normally open and close to energize the starter solenoid when you start the engine. Power for the relay coil must pass through the transmission reverse/neutral safety switch when the transmission is in Park or Neutral. This switch is located on the side of the transmission and is reached from underneath on the front, driver's side. (Remove the plastic protective covering from underneath the engine in that area-it has about 10 screws.)

I have a 1987 jetta and i want to get my up shift light working again i hoping it is just a blown fuse?

It could be the upshift indicator control unit relay (relay #4, second row of relays, 4th from the right). There is also vacuum switch upshift indicator, (usually connected inline of the vacuum line going to the distributor advance, with an electrical plug connected to it). Or it could be transmission switch/upshift indicator, (located on top of the transmission, towards the back of the transmission). I don't think it would be a fuse, because the upshift control unit relay is powered by ignition battery.

Yes, it could be the transmission control module or a shift solenoid in the transmission is plugged up or burnt out so it doesn't shift up.

Where is the speedometer relay in a 1996 chevrolet van?

There is no speedometer relay. The speedometer input is provided from the vehicle speed sensor that is located in the tailshaft portion of the transmission.
This input is also used by the power train control module (or PCM) and is used as an input for transmission shifting.

Starter relay

The main starter relay is on the starter itself, and is called the solenoid. If the car won't start, it could also be the ignition switch or safety switch. If it is an automatic, the safety switch is on the transmission, and only allows starting in neutral or park. If it is a manual transmission, it is usually on the clutch petal pivot.
The best way to tell is with a test light, looking for power at these different components.

I have a 2003 Ford Escape V6 3.0L. Where is located the transmission relay. I think it is called Mini ISO Relay.

Mini ISO Relay is a TYPE of relay. Your vehicle uses 2 types of relays; Mini ISO Releays and Micro ISO Relays. They are located in several locations throughout the vehicle. I do not know what you mean by "Transmission Relay" What, exactly, are you trying to fix?
