Replace fuse with a 20 watt dc bulb to test system momentary
the compressor should be able to stay retracted/engaged all day long w/o a hitch if its drawing too much current then a winding is shot
connect it directly to battery and bulb and see ,does it clack an stay w/o over heating or does lamp just glow bright

SOURCE: A/C blowing hot air in 2005 Lincoln LS

It could be the dccv or the evap. discharge sensor, driver's temp sensor or pass temp sensor. Without hooking up a tester to read pids there is no way to tell. I would recommend going to someone that has the ids tester to read pids. good luck.

SOURCE: 2005 Lincoln LS. It blows extremely hot air all

There is a very good chance the Dual Coolant Control Valve has failed. This is located at the botton right side of the engine fan shroud and has 3 heater hoses connected to it. This valve controls heater or AC temperature inside the car.

SOURCE: my 2004 lincoln ls air conditioner is blowing hot

Your issues can not be answered easily or definitively, as the LS is very complex and all electronic.
I would need the stored codes, that set the check light (MIL Light)
You can cycle the right dash display to ACFilter and Reset, with the top row of buttons,in center of dash. There is no sensor on the Cabin Filter. All the dash displays, are just reminders, you can set any way you want, % wise.

Possible issues--Fuses
-- Coolant control valve
--DATC module

You will need a really good Technician, not a general mechanic, to diagnose your problem
You need to put a professional scanner on it, to start any diagnostic work

Check the heater control valve. And verify if there's hot air w/o A/C (fresh air with heat setting to cold)

I have a 2004 Lincoln LS 3.0. I recently had the AC compressor replaced. I would drive for about 100 miles then a fuse would blow. I took it back in to the dealer and they replaced the DCCV and various...

sounds like you have a wire rubbing against metal and blowing the fuse. look in owner's manual and see if the a/c fuse only powers the a/c compressor. if it does the bypass the wire with one ran from the compressor to the a/c fuse and drive vehicle to see if it blows again. if it has other things powered by the fuse then check all the wires for rubbed or broken areas.

Air conditioner blowing hot air

Blowing hot air when set to A/C is almost always a stuck blend door, dead blend door actuator, or a cracked or disconnected blend door actuator vacuum line. The blend door is inside the a/c ducting under the dash, but the actuator will be accessible outside the ducting.

2005 Lincoln LS. It blows extremely hot air all the time, and is unresponsive to temperature inputs from either side of the car. It always blows hot air.

2002 Lincoln LS V6. AC blowing hot air but sometimes it works fine and blows cool. Is it a sensor problem?

its probably the compressor cutoff switch cutting your compressor off at the wrong time and causing your ac to blow hot. that switch is under your hood right on top of the engine easy to get to. I hope that helps you out!

I HAVE A 2004 LINCOLN LS V8 NO AC BLOWS HOT AIR ONLY AC HAS REFRIG.

I recently had the same problem with my ls. I had to remove the drivers side front tire and behind the tire arm there is the low connector valve that is attached to the compressor- take off the tiny cap and connect the can of refrigerant. Kragen has cans with the valve attached- just follow directions- My air works perfectly now- and it cost under $25 to repair it!

I have a 2004 Lincoln LS and it blows cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger side and in the rear. Any solutions to solve this problem

It is probably the (DCCV) Dual climate control valve. It is located RT front of engine with heater hoses and wires goin to it. I ordered one from Rockauto.com for about a $100.00 i think. It is pretty easy to change and I found out when mine went out that it was a very common problem with these cars. When mine quit it started the same as you are describing for a while then it only would blow hot air and it blew the a/c compressor fuse. The DCCV is a dual cylinder valve and i beleive that they get stuck open and short out. If you have any more questions or need more information let me know.
