Rules of cab heat,
1: blower must blow on high, does it?
2: engine must get to 180F+ degree's and hold
3: both heater hose to core same HOT.
4: the damper most be open that covers the cores. (look)

Sounds like you have lost the ground for the headlights. Take a piece of wire and attach to a good ground and hook to the grounding device on the headlamp.

i have no idea about an idle up solenoid relay but i had the same problem.. there is a hex screw on the motor that takes a very small allen wrench head where you can adjust the idle from there. its near the throttle body

for 1991 geo metro 1.0 liter 3 cyl engine the timing is 6 degrees before top dead center. you will need a tachometer because the rpm must be 800 when you set the timing. also you will need to disconnect the vacuum advance to the distributor, and plug the hose to avoid a vacuum leak. (alternate method is to pinch the vacuum advance hose going to the distributor while you are setting the timing) Good Luck!

The hood will be the same, but the bumper will be different: the Geo Metro had its turn signals in the bumper and the Chevy Metro had them in with the headlights. The bumpers also look different, however their mounts may be the same. If your sister wants fer car to look the same you should find a bumper from a 1998-2001 Chevy Metro.

you don't have to allign them to any particular place: just mark the belt and pullies with white-out, transfer the markings to the new belt and reallign them. If your timing is good beforehand it will remain the same :-)
