How do i change the oil light bulb on the dash seems difficult.

Yes it is complicated, You remove as much of the dash cowling as necessary to be able to then remove the gages as one unit from the dash then remove the bulb from the back of it if it is visible but if not then proceed to disassemble the gage cluster to get at the bulb. Enjoy yourself

Gas gage light out

well iwould say that if not update software programing for this problem like some other cars. you are going to have to remove some dash trim to gain access to i/p cluster retaining screws, remove screws then cluster, some clusters have serviceable backlighting bulbs & some you would have to take apart to de-solder where the bulb is located behind the gas gauge and try to find one someware. most clusters know a days are not technician serviceable unless you are a special technician. just send out for repair reinstall, reprogram with latest software, and current milage. done deal.

Fuel gage is not working along with odometer checked for fuses did not find took apart dash found nothing there what should i check next. Tempature gage and oil pressure gage still work fuel gage is right...

when you pulled the top of the dash off did you check the cable connection to the insturment cluster. i had a similar problem where my gauges died individually including the spedo and tach. slapping the dash usually would cause the gauges to start working again, but that quit also and i had to tear the cluster out and check the conneciton. that fixed the problem.

Dash gages dies and comes back on it's own

This is a common problem with 1996-2000 Caravans. The fix is to disassemble the dashboard, remove the instrument cluster and resolder the connectors between the two circuit boards on the cluster. Usually you can see a black ring around one or more of the pins going through the circuit board. This is know as a cold solder joint. This means doing some dis-assembly of the cluster too. It may sound hard to do, but it is a lot easier than shelling out hundreds of dollars to mechanics who can't find the problem. Having a Philips head screwdriver (+), soldering gun and a bit of solder, the job took me (not a mechanic) about 1.5 hours to do this from start to finish. It has been over a year now with no problems with the gages.

Panel light burnt out 2002 Avalon

Remove lower dash panel, remove screws holding cluster to top of dash, remove middle dash panel around steering wheel. this will expose additional screws holding cluster in place, when all screws are removed the cluster will move forward a bit. THEN you must reach behind and release the speedo. it wil either be plugged in or a spring clip holds it in place. push the spring clip toward the rear of the vehicle, while keeping no tension on the speedo cable, while it is fully depressed, gently and firmly pull the speedo cable away from the cluster. Two harness connect to the cluster, each has a pressure clip, just squeeze and pull back on harness connector to remove. When released the cluster will be freed. With the cluster face down, the bulb with remove with a counter clockwise turn, just confirm whcih one you want to change. I'd recommend changing all! check that all bulbs fuction before resecuring all pieces.
