It depends on what the actual problem is.
If it is something inside the transfer case, you could do more damage if it is not repaired. If it is just a switch, probably not.

THIS VAN HAS A VERY HIGH TRANSMISSION FAILURE RATE, AND THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR TRANS, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION'S FORWARD CLUTCH PACK HAS FAILED, YOU WILL NEED AN OVERHAUL TO REPAIR THIS FAILED PART.

2010 ford kuga with AWD malfunction light...runs well..seems to have happened since wheel alignment

Check Your ABS wheel sensors if one of these got hit or bumped to hard during your alignment then it will tell your car that one wheel is moving at a different speed than the others and put the car into what we call "limp" mode. An OBD2 scanner will tell you which wheel is malfunctioning.

Today while driving the traction control light, the wrench light and the ABS light came on in my 2008 ford fusion, AWD, what will i need to do to fix this and aprox the cost?

easy you have either a faulty sensor on a wheel or the painted magnetic strip in the back of the bearing has been damaged or the cover the paint sits on has corroded away ,disconnect each sensor in turn and check for continuety first and if all ok then disconnect each one in turn with vehicle jacked up and spin wheel and using meter on lowest miliamp setting to see if you read a slight voltage on a fast spin of the wheel .

Awd disable and anti lock light is on and a grinding noise in the front end

Hi, I can help

You have a bad wheel bearing assembly.
The bearing is starting to seize up, and it is telling computer there is a problem in ABS system, as well as AWD system.

First thing is to locate which bearing it is in the front end of the vehicle.

1)Jack up each side of the front end, place a safety support stand or jack stand under frame of vehicle.
2)Once vehicle wheel is free from ground spin the wheel and listen for grinding.
3)Compare each wheel as you spin and make your best judgment on which is more noisy.
4)This is your problem wheel you need to remember which side of the vehicle is the source of problem when ordering the part from your local auto parts store.

To repair: Remove wheel, remove brake caliper, then brake caliper bracket, then the rotor, remove center axle nut, then remove bolts for wheel bearing hub assembly.
Your ABS and AWD lights will reset themselves upon successful test drive following repair.
Let me know if you need more assistance or pictures.
Good Luck, have a great day.

My 2000 Bravada SERVICE AWD light is on with nothing wrong with the All wheel drive in good condition. How do I turn off the Light?

Nothing wrong you say !!

So why do you have an OBD2 System
Malfunction Light on?

Turn it off? So your mechanic won't
find the problem, until next winter,
when you need it

Get it diagnosed and repaired

Service Engine soon light and Service AWD ligths are on, also the abs light

ABS light is on due to a bad or dirty ABS sensor on the front wheel hub. Inspect the front wheel ABS sensor and wire leads on the front wheel inner hub where the speed ring is. At worst it's going to be a bad electronic Actuator at the transfer case or one of the speed sensor at the transfer case, but most likely it's going to be the vacuum switch if you don't have any check engine light on.

I suggest visit autozone or dealer for scanning and know exactly the fault code.

Hope helped.

AWD Light stays on

3rd dealer stated that the problem was in the differential pump valve, when the temperture sensor was giving a false reading and disconnecting the rear wheel drive. Replaced with GM Part 88896067, and it solved the problem. Mechanic stated that if it is ONLY the AWD light, then this is usually the problem. If the ABS Disable light also goes on, then it is the harness on the wheel sensor.
