SOURCE: starter fuse keeps blowing

Sounds like a short in the system. you will need to inspect the wiring and posably, bench test the starter. Check the cables to the battery. Make sure the wires and the battery are in good shape.

SOURCE: 1996 Dodge Stratus keeps blowing fuse to starter!

Need to look at symntec and see if there is a relay on the starter. Which there most likely is. and it is bad. Look at the fuse and see if there is another wire going from the fuse to a relay,if so replace that relay.

Fuse s under hood keeps blowing. It is the inj/coil fuse

Try jumping the starter with the key on. If it doesn't blow. Check the start wire for chafing and grounding out. You can pull the starter relay, Try to start it, see if it blows, yes, it is between the fuse panel and fuel pump. no. Put it in and pull the fuel pump relay. Start it. If it blows, then it is some where between the fuse panel and starter. If you have one of those intelligent fuse panels, it could be that also. You can have the codes read for it. But it takes a scanner, not a code reader.

2002 sebring keeps blowing 20amp starter and fuel fuse

When does the fuse blow? As soon as it's replaced or when you try to start the car? Take the small wire off the starter solenoid. This will separate the fuel pump from the starter solenoid. With a new fuse in turn the ignition switch to the start position. Does the fuse blow? If so, then the fuel pump and/or the wiring to it has a short. If the fuse doesn't blow then the starter solenoid or the wiring between the ignition switch and the solenoid has a short.

2000 isuzu trooper main fuse keeps blowing and can't find the wire shorting out

The main fuse usually only goes between the battery and the starter and the alternator. I'd bet the starter wire insulation is cut through by one of the wire ties or at the starter. If the wire got hot , which if it's blowing a 50a fuse , it did, check any heavy gage wires coming from that fuse to the batt and starter and alternator

The green wire of the fusible link on the battery of my 97 Nissan truck xe keep smoking.the truck don't get power for the horn, heater,, don't turn the engine( not even crank the motor), no radio. I...

This means theres a dead short somewhere, so the systems it runs have a short you will need to remove power from each one until the short stops. take a look around for wires touching ground, the raido woundnt be the problem it has its on fuse and so does the horn, remove the starter wire, the small wire to starter and leave the big battery cable going to starter and then try to start it, i know it wont start but this will tell you if its the starter thats shorting out, if that doiesnt do it then continue remove connections until you locate it, also repair the wire and then turn the key on and see if it blows the fuselink if it doesnt then you know its the starter, but then crank and see if it blows to make sure, if it only blows when you crank it then its the starter, if it blows as soon as the key is turn on then its something else. hope this is helpful, good luck.

Engine fuse (20 amp) keep blowing

You may have a short from the starter wire harness to the fuse box. Run a continuity test on all incomming wires from the starter to the fuse box. I suspect you may find a wire that is shorted into your frame somewhere or suffers heat damage at a certain point along the wire.

My ignition fuse keeps blowing every time i start the car

Check the power wiring running to the starter for exposed wire or loose insulation. I've run into the same thing on a few Chrysler vehicles where the insulation on the starter wire just melts off and blows fuses like crazy
