Washer pump won't spray , got current to new pump

Jerry. You said youcleaned the hoses? Did you also clean the sprayer ports? They maybe clogged. When i had this problem I used my air compressor and blew air through the hose and ports. This solved the problem. Lastly did you check to see if the tube running from the washer tank is not clogged?

Why wont my washer spray work

Look under the hood where the hoses connect to spray nozzles. Gently pull hoses off and try spray again. If it works then either clean the nozzles with a straight pin or replace them. I assume the pump works?

Chevy truck wipers won't spray solvent

if the washer pump is working then there could be a blockage in the washer hose or in the spray nozzle. you can unplug the hose at the nozzle and try the washers if it is spraying then the nozzle/s are plugged and need to be cleaned out.

How do i replace wind sheild washer spray nozzles ?

make sure you have washer fluid come out of the pump when on,if so maybe clogged hose to nozzle or nozzle clogged up which you can clean chemical residues with a sharp needle then moderately blow air(with air hose) from nozzle towards end of hose that connects to pump. Hope this helps. Oh,make sure not to wiggle the nozzle because then it would change direction of spray.

I have one side of the wipers spray out fluid, but one side not.

This is called the washer spray nozzle.Did you try removing the hose and then blowing thru it?I always try blowing from the nozzle end back to the washer bottle. If you can remove the hose from the nozzle and blow back towards the washer bottle. If you can blow back to the bottle then you need to replace the nozzle.Hope this helps.Good luck.

On my 03 chevy cavalier the windshield wiper hose only sprays hard out of the passenger side and kind pours out of the driver. i took a little bit of compressed air to try and clean it but didnt really do...

The driver''s side has either a broken or missing wiper nozzle. the only way you will be able to make it spray evenly is by replacing the nozzle. The problem is that without the nozzle, you will get a high volume of fluid delivered rather than the high pressure you should get if the restriction of the nozzle were there. It is akin to a the spray of a bare garden hose vs. one with an adjustable nozzle.

Only one winshied wiper spray works

Check the rubber hoses to the sprayers. If they are on the hood they can come unplugged when you open it. Have a friend work the sprayers as you watch for leaks. An old toothbrush can be used to clean spray nozzles by scrubbing over the hole.

All window washers blocked, motor runs and the washer dribble

Try carefully unhooking the hose between the washer bottle and the spray nozzle, and blowing some air through the end of the nozzle end where the spray is supposed to come out. A blow gun with a rubber tip works nice.

That should push the blockage away form the tip and back out through the hose.

My windshield washer won't work. There is enough fluid and it does not appear to be frozen.

Did you check the fuse to make sure it is not blown?Normally you can hear it try to work by having the hood open while you stand there and have someone try it. It is full and fuse is good and it is trying to pump then either the pump is working but not really pumping anything or what I suspect is more likely is that the spray nozzles are clogged with wax. This is very common and I have seen it time and time again. Remove one of the rubber hoses from a spray nozzle and see if it it pumping out fluid. If it is not, then the pump is bad and must be replaced. It it is pumping fluid then the nozzles are clogged. Use a fine needle to clean out the nozzles. You may have to take the nozzle off in order to clean it throughly. More than likely once you probe inside the nozzles with the needle they will start working. If you end up having to remove the nozzles, and they are metal, which they normally are, you can place them in a pan of boiling water. This will for sure clean them out. The hot water will soften the wax and make it easy to pick and blow out. Have a great 2010, and good luck getting your washer fixed.
