I need to get the numbers that used to be in the glove box but are worn off.

These numbers are so my repair guy knows what parts he needs to fix the differential in my car

Need to know what the numbers on my fuse box cover represent on my 2001 Grand Marquis

Check the owner;s manual, or go see your Mercury dealer Parts department and ask them, or find a used Grand Marquis in a used car lot and ask to photocopy the book in the glove box.
Go bless your efforts.

or some even do house calls for big money.
its your choice, but there are no free, codes, just floating about.
in fact one guy type in 5000 codes (kids) and found his.

2004 bmw 325ci ... caught fire behind the glove box . i need to the the code/ part number of the wire harness or harnesses specially coming in from the left side behind the glove box.. also it connects to...

I have had to replace harnesses in a number of vehicles before, both foreign and domestic. The dealership should be able to know what harness by the VIN.
If you're trying to avoid the dealer, you may try having them look and give you a price, then say you need to gather funds and ask what the part number is.... so you can give it to them when you get the funds and can buy it ;)

Blower motor stuck on high! 2001 town &country 3.8 lxi. unpluged blower control module and blower motor still stuck on high. any ideas? thanks ED

your blower resister is bad and you need to replace it.......heres how,The glove box can be lowered all the way out of the way just by pulling in the sides so the rubber stoppers come out toward you. The sides bend easily to allow that.

The glove box being out reveals the resistor in the heating duct right in front of you. Just remove the two sets of wires and two bolts (10mm socket, I think) and the resistor pack slides right out. Then bolt in the new one an plug the wires back in (they only fit in one way). Fold the glove box back up and press the stops in to get them back in place and you are done.

The resistor pack only cost $12 and change at my dealer. It is part number 1-04885583AB which was a replacement for the same number with AA at the end, so I’m guessing they had a lot of trouble with the AAs and so made a better AB.

Last Winter my heater blower fan worked only on High. I changed the front heater/AC blower resistor pack and was surprised at how easy it is, but I had to figure it out for myself since my Dealer's parts guy was no help as to where the part lived and my Haynes manual was just plain wrong. This was on a 2001 T+C. I'd be very surprised if the 2001 Caravan was any different. Don't know what other year vans would be the same. I do know some earlier generations had this resistor under the hood and Haynes had is with the blower sort of behind the instrument cluster.

Lexus RX300 buzzing behind/under glove box

Sure the culprit is in the HVAC system. The cover under the glove box needes to be removed to look and see theres a relay panel and motors that move the air doors inside the duct work the motors are on the out side and can be diffacult to change so even if your going to hire the work done it might be nice to look first so you'll know if your talking to a person that should do this work for you Quizzing the professional sales person at your local auto parts store you'll find the person that they know that buys the parts that fix these things if he buys lots of this kind of part that shop is likly to have a person that can go right to it and fix it cheap and quicker than someone puzzeling over the repair manuel and trying difference things with your money

F150 2004 blower working only on high position.

this is because your blower motor resisters are burned out for speeds 1,2 & 3. High speed does not have a resister.

Replace the resister. If it goes a 2nd time, it is because your blower motor is failing & drawing too much current.

it is behind the glove box I think. It is in the plenum case where air blowing on it keeps it cool.

Easy repair. May need to access throught glove box which should open all the way down when you squeeze the sides in.

Go to tascafordparts.com for a discounted resister.
Please rate as solved problem if this is what you needed.

Blower Motor Switch Resistor
Blower Motor Resistor Coils 9ba1105.gif Blower Motor Thermal Limiter 47afe58.gif The heater blower motor switch resistor has the following features:
  • The assembly is located on the passenger side of the plenum assembly behind the glove compartment (06010).
  • Three resistance elements are mounted on the resistor board to provide four A/C blower motor speeds.
  • Depending on the heater blower motor switch position, series resistance is added or bypassed in the A/C blower motor circuit to decrease or increase A/C blower motor speed.
  • An overheating protective device (thermal limiter) will open the resistor coil circuit when the temperature reaches 121°C (250°F), interrupting the blower motor operation in all speeds except HI.
  • The thermal limiter cannot be reset and is not serviceable.

How to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.

I have a 2004 chevy trailblazer i need the stereo code its locked

I had this problem myself. You can get the code by simply giving the dealership a call and giving them the stereo serial number. Many dealerships put these on a sticker on the glove box somewhere. Or you may have to get it from the bottom of the stereo itself. I lucked out and found it on the glove box, sometimes they even put it on the outside of the glove box on either side. Once I had this all I had to do was call the parts dept at the dealership and the guy gave me the code.
This should help
