This is a strange problem with GM cars. It is a fuse somewhat related to the cigaret lighter. In many cases is unidentified and very difficult to find. Google images for what you are looking for, you may get lucky with a picture or a diagram for it's location.

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix blowing the MAF/EVAP fuse. Unplugged MAF and still blows fuse. Let vehicle sit and cool and it didn't blow it again. Plugged MAF in, cleared codes and drove @ 15 miles and it blew...


Replace the EVAP purge solenoid. It is powered off the same fuse and it works as you are driving and not at idle . The MAF sensor is working all the time the engine is running.

If it's the same as a 2005 it's in the right end of dash. Open door pull little cover off end of dash.

attach both power and illumination wires to constant on car wires.... only way to have switched power is connecting the switched/ignition wire to a fuse
