SOURCE: S70 GLT head replacement

the easiest way to remove the head is to completely remove the exhaust manifold from the engine and turbo assy. you CAN just unbolt it from the engine , but it takes a good bit of wiggling to get it off if you are leaving thre manifold in the car

I would see the dealer on this issue, this may be a built in problem and there may be a dealer bulletin on it.

How to replace the 2 gaskets on the oil cooler on 2.3 leter 2007 Mazda cx7?

Contact your Mazda dealership's Parts-Dept. w/ this Part-Number: LF8X-14-702 for the gasket, or place an online-order for twice the cost as my local-dealership:
http://www.amazon.com/MAZDA-CX-7-MIATA-COOLER-GASKET/dp/B00DQYG9D4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1/190-6912148-0373061

I just helped a friends save > $500 w/ this Mazda info. Ebay has options as well if you want to pay 1/4-1/3 of dealer-prices for the oil-cooler itself, which - as all probably know now - includes the $5 o-ring gasket.

Best wishes,
Nick

Where does one investigate oil consumption in a 1.8 liter turbo engine in a 2001 vw golf using 1-quart every 50 to 100 miles driven, no tail pipe smoke and no leakes on drive way when parked overnight. I...

If you don't drive this little beast hard the oil could be migrating to the charge pipes and inter cooler.

Usually the turbo is likely culprit when oil consumption reaches those levels. Pull the spark plugs to see if the tips are loading up with carbon deposits.

You can pull the lower hose of the inter cooler...drivers side under the bumper....and see if oil pours out. If so the turbo is shot.

Another way oil is consumed is valve stem seals allowing oil down the intake valve guides. Cure is a set of valve stem seals.

My 96 850 Turbo has a issue related to the intake tube directly off the top on the inter-cooler. In colder conditions (0deg or lower) it will collapses the hose (like the engine is trying to in more air...

if you do by pass it i would leave the turbo in operation and just remove the hose of the inter cooler and put a air filter in place of the inter cooler.

I want to turbocharge my 1989 mazda b2200 what do i need to get?

Your best bet would be to find a used engine assembly with ECM that already has the turbo and intercooler installed on it that will fit your vehicle as a changeout. There are a few differances in turboed engines, the pistons are heaverier duty, the crankshaft is heavier duty, the camshaft has a different performance curve and the ECM is different for the carburation or fuel injection. It would take you a lot of work to convert the engine over so it won't blow up when you jump on it due to overcharging the system. There are quite a few vendors that sell aftermarket packages, but that puts the turbo on the engine and does nothing for the engine strength, especially if you want real performance. Turbos are adjustable for the amount of boost the engine gets and the timing when the waste gate releases the boost to keep from blowing the engine. Depending on where you reside you may also have a problem with smog regulations, especially is there are annual inspections required. Good Luck, RAC

Can you hear the turbo spooling up? If yes do you hear an air noise... could a number of things from bad turbo, air to air leaking or its piping, or something simple like a clogged fuel or air filter.
