It's hard to say when I don't know what year Impreza your talking about. But the inside of the fuse panel lid has a label that tells you what each fuse is, I would start there and see if you can find the fuse that way. Also, as long at that outlet already had a lighter element in it your fine, but some cars have only auxiliary power points which are not lighter outlets. You can make sure that it's a lighter by looking down to the bottom of socket, if all you see is metal then it's a lighter socket. If you see what looks like a black plastic washer at the bottom, then it's a power point and not to be used as a lighter socket.

How much does it cost to fix the speedometer on a 1995 subaru impreza

Hi.

First you have to ascertain whether the problem is in the cable or the cluster. They are both separate costs.

The cable is definitely cheaper than the cluster.

1995 subaru cigarette lighter doesn't work

ok you are probably correct to think that you overloaded the plug and burned it out. I have seen decent replacement plugs at auto parts stores for about $10-15. Its a bit of a chore to remove some of the dash trim in that area but it can be done with some patients

Subaru impreza sport 1999 piston slap

Rebuilding the engine is the only true cure. Be sure that the engine warms up without driving it. In other words, don't put any excessive load on the engine while it is cold. Once it warms up, the piston, rings, pins, etc. will expand from the heat. This is why you only hear slapping when the engine is cold.

MY BLOW HEATER *** LIGHTER AC WONT WORK COULD IT BE A FUSE ON MY IMPREZA WRX IMPORT 1995 M REG,THANKYOU

I would first check the fuse. They are usually on the same circuit, so I would say fuse. Otherwise a shorted wire is possible. you can pry out the lighter and check that the wire is on the lighter socket.

Subaru Impreza gas cap door won't open

If there is one - In trunk - directly behind the gas filler door - behind trunkliner (carpet)
The cable should not have any problems... use a partner to hold the door release and try and pry it open with your fingers.
The spring popper may be bad.
Try this if you dont have an assistant :D

I had this problem with my STI -- easy to fix by bending the little metal on the inside of the fuel door that provides the spring action to open the door. 5 second fix
