Make sure the dimmer portion is not turned to the low/off position on the headlight switch. This will turn off/fade the dash lights

I did turn the dimmer both ways with no results. The fuse isn't even showing it has power.

possibly a bad headlight switch. Have a look at the wiring connector at the back of the switch to see if it is melted

I looked at the harness behind the switch and to the eye nothing looks melted.

From the wiring diagrams I have looked at, The dash light power on this model seems to come from the headlight switch. I wish I could supply more info Dustin.

Interior dash and running lights dont work but my signal and brake lights work else works

Look at fuse #18, a 15 amp fuse, in the fuse block. This fuse powers both the tail lights and instrument cluster lights. Usually both of these light systems are powered by the same fuse so when your cluster isn't lit up you'll know right away that your tail lights aren't working as it's not safe to drive without tail lights. Your brake, turn, and head lamps are powered by different circuits. Hope this helps and good luck!

Replacing a gauge light 1984 chevy c10

The instrument cluster trim panel will have to come off first of all by removing the screws witch are all phillips heads screws. You will see a small trim panel wrapped below the steering coluum. That will needs to come off first. Pull the radio knobs off next and remove the nuts on the radio shafts. You will need to remove all screws surrounding the sides and the top areas next. If you have tilt wheel lower the tilt down as far as it goes. Gently remove the panel. Next the gauges will show two screws holding each one one. I would replace all bulbs since one goes out more will later very soon. Reverse this proceedure to re-install
