Should be located under the hood. The coolant bottle may be attached to it. It will be black or greyish silver and have 3-4 plugs going into it

Installed new trans on 01 s10 blazer and it wont move

Disconnect the vehicle battery for an hour and reconnect. Retry once again.

Disconnecting the battery can restore ECU and ECM programming and help to pair systems.

Does this help?

2001 Chevy s10 4.3 surges and won't pick up speed. Valves rattle when you mash accelerator to the floor and it smells like its flooding out

You want to start with the knock sensor, located on the side of the block, about 1 1/4 inches in diameter, 1 1/2 inches long. funny looking sensor. It is suposed to pick up knocks/pings in the engine and tells the ECM to advance or ****** the engine. Check the engine for codes, even if the light is not on. Let me know we can go from there

Will a 2001 4.3 fit a 95 4.3 I have a 2001 Rolled s10 blazer w a 4.3 and an automatic trans will this fit and work in a 1995 s10 blazer that had a 4.3 and an automatic transmission

Yes it will but your going to have to also transplant the ECM. The change off years to the Blazers are 1992 to 1995 and interchangeable, 1995 being the odd ball year for the 4.3, and in 1996 to 2002 are all drive-train interchangeable. Good luck and keep me posted if you have any more questions.

89-98 chevy blazer

It's not worth doing all that conversion, buy the time you spend the time and money to convert the 89 4.3 to work on the 98 blazer, it would be cheaper to install a 98 vortec rebuild. The 89 4.3 have a TBI fuel injection system and the ecm on the 98 will not work and the bad news is that the ecm on the 98 also controls the transmission shift points and the 89 will not, so even if you swap the ecm to have the 89 4.3 engine work. the transmission will not shift. Sorry for the bad news but it would be cheaper to replace the 98 engine with the years of 1996 to 2001. Good luck and hope this helps.

Jeff Tourcotte, I am experiencing this same problem. I unhooked crank and cam sensor and still blow the fuses. Any chance you can email these diagrams to me seeing I can not get them to open?
