Question about Dodge Stratus

1 Answer

My car is acting up. It jerks kind of like its running out of gas, has a full tank. RPMs have been jumping. Need to figure out whats going on.

Had it diagnosed but the only thing that comes up is the battery voltage. I have been told it could be injecters or it could be a sensor or feul filter or... I just need a definitive answer

Ran out of gas in 2003 Mitsubishi galant . Filled tank with gas & added fuel injector cleaner. Car is jumping & jerking like it was when it ran out of gas. Still runs rough even after using 1/4 tank of...

Change your fuel filter. Running the tank empty will pull any sediment that has accumulated in the bottom of the tank into the fuel system. There is a good chance your filter is clogged and not letting enough fuel to the engine.

My car jerks, cuts when iddling and switches off when running

To fix the jerking rotate your tires and what do u mean by cuts when idling if it cuts off then there is a chance there is water in your gas tank due to precipitation just go to the gas station and put about a full tank but u need to keep a full tank in it when your not using for a while when I was locked up I couldn't let it idle without turning off so I would just sit in it and barley press the gas until it thought it was ok to let go and it ran good till my starter went out and the switching off you probably need to get a new gas pump line or whatever it's called I forget.

Truck acts like it is running out of gas? Replaced fuel filter. Ran fine for awhile but now still acts like it is starving for fuel.

my '93 f-250 (4.9L) stopped running while driving, now it acts like it isn't getting any fuel. Tried switching tanks, but still does the same. What would be the problem.

Losing power

Check the output from the alternator to the battery, with everything on,lights, and ac,high blower motor setting. It should read 13.65 volts,to 14.25 volts,if it is lower than this, then the alternator is bad, just because the battery maybe starting the vehicle good, and seems strong, does not mean the alternator is working correctly. No days, vehicles ignition/computer systems need a good bit of voltage to run the car,and charge the battery.

1993 sentra jerking problems.

I wanted to just give a you go to the same gas station to get gas? My sentra ran horrible because I kept going to this same gas station. My gas would get low and it would start cutting off and trying to cut off. I let my fuel go to almost empty and then went to another gas station to fill up. It hasnt cut of for about 6 months now and I havent returned to that gas station.
