First I would check the compression of the engine if you haven't already. If it turns out that you need valve job only on one valve I would take the head off and go buy some valve grinding compound, a new valve, valve seals and a spring compressor. Next put the head on a 5 gallon bucket so it will catch the valve if it falls. Make sure the valve doesn't move around in the valve guide otherwise you will have to take it to a machine shop to have new guides pressed in. If the guide is fine then take a cordless drill and spin the chuck onto the valve then put a good amount of compound on it and then seat the valve while spinning it. This will grind into the existing seat and make it new. Keep checking it and you will notice the surfaces of the valve and the seat becoming flush. At this point I would put all new valve stem seals on while you have it apart. Once all the imperfections are ground out and the valve is seated clean all parts and reassemble. Don't spend hundreds on a valve job that you don't need.

How to put in a guide valve in a nissan altima

thats a machine shop deal.they have put the head in hot oil about 302 degrees.then the old valve guides will be driven out or press after that. the new valve guides has to be frozen in dry ice or liquid nitrogen to shrink enough to press them in place.after that new valve guides have to be reamed.so that the valve stem will fit .

Valve cover gasket

valve cover gaskets are in expensive, like 20 bucks, a books that can tell you how to do it would be 25-50 and you will be able to use the book for other things.. there are usually a few long bolts going straight through your valve cover, jus take them off remove the old gasket and put new one in put them back in.. however tightening the valve cover bolts will be the only tricky part.. you may need a torque wrench and have to refer to the book to know exatly how tight they should be.. but as a rule of thumb 80-90 ft-lb of tork is usually used.. be careful when doing this cuz if you put the wrong torque on it will bend your valve covers or posibbly not seal correctly

Idle too high +goes higher when put in gear (manual transmision

IAC valve problem. Nissan has a updated harness (with one way diode inside of the harness) to prevent backfeeding for the IAC valve and a new IAC valve also gets installed. That's where I would look. IAC valve or "idle air control" valve.
