the gen3 had 2 changes in the 2000 --02 and again for 2003 - 05----so some body chassis and engine parts are interchangeable ---to many parts to list if know part ask a junkyard or a body shop for whats is interchangeable
Basicly all 2.2l are the same the block head at the worst you can take those part from your old engine its more work but atleast you no what you got sometime those scrap yard got the engine sitting there for mounth gasket get dry injector get all kind of dirt in them
2.2 and 2.3 from a cavalier or sunfire.1996 the 2.4 was available and the 1.8 and 2.0 were used around 1990.You need the correct computer for each motor(eprom chip),they don't interchange.Not to mention the wiring harnesses probably won't interchange either.But they all will bolt up to your transmission.Sounds like alot of work,take care now.
