SOURCE: location of thermostat for a 2004 pontiac grand am.

follow the upper rad. hose from the rad. to the other end. It should be under the throttle body. I'm a certified Master Tec and these are not easy to do.

SOURCE: thermostat location

On a GM six clinder it is in the housing that the upper radiator hose is hooked on the upper intake. It is very difficult to remove with the exhaust cross over pipe in the way but is possible with some time.

Can you unplug the wiring from the fuel injectors to test with an ohm meter without taking off the intake? Also, where is the '02' sensor located?

If you have a 2.3L 4 cylinder you dont, but if you have a 3.1L 6 cylinder you will have to remove the upper in-take magifold, the o2 sensor is located no the exhaust magifold or on the exhaust pipe but not pass the catilic converter.
