Question about 2004 Buick LeSabre Custom
If 5w30 is recommended, depending on the climate and temp where you live 10w30 will be fine.keep in mind that 10w30 is a little thicker so in cold climates it takes a little longer to get moving

If anything i would bump it up to a 10w40 with that kind of milage engine is prety loose, just stick with the same brand of oil just go heaver, i'am not a big fan of 5w30 to me its like pouring water in the crankcase.

3.8 is under the belly pan nearest the front of the engine...why don't you just have it changed by nice mechanic and if your nice, maybe he'll let you watch!

5w 30 is much thinner than 10w 30. Most newer vehicles require 5w30
I personally like synthetic oils because the viscocity adjusts with the temperature in all climates and weather. No need to change every season

you can but not recommended. the reason for the thinner oil is the tolerances in the bearing races on these engines are very tight, requiring thinner oil. 5w30 is ok for sure if you are going synthetic.

Testimonial: "thank you very much. ran across some synthetic oil .. cant complain it was free.."
The fuse box should be on the drivers side door jamb. when you open the drivers door look at the side of the dashboard there should be a panel to lift and remove accessing the fuse box
