Sounds like the coil pack. You are not getting proper fire to burn the fuel when it is distributed to the motor. All it would help with make and model. good luck....................

Hi Dale:
You don't say what it is, but if it has a carb with a float valve, I'd be suspicious that the needle is not seating properly, and the engine heat could be warming the gas which is expanding and getting into the carb past the float valve. Of course this could be completely wrong because I don't know what engine year and make you are discussing.

Cold air getting in at the drivers right foot

That is typical for most cars. The front lower (foot area) vents allow cold air to come in just before the heater kicks in (heat value opens). If this just started, may be wait for a warm / hot day and see it continues. Sometimes people forget as this typically happen only on colder days. I wouldn't worry about it. To make it stop, turn off the heater - A/C and wait for the car to warm up before turning on the heater. The car is warm once the engine temp gauge starts to move up / show warmer. In most typical cars it takes about 5 to 7 minutes running get the engine temp up to a point where the heater will blow warmer air. If you have more details / concerns - post them, the more you include (car make, model & year, when did the problem start, anything make it worse or better, influencing conditions e.g. rain, cold, hot, dry, etc the better).

The thing to do is have the vehicle hooked up to diagnostic scan tool . Viewing engine sensor data ,see whats off . The computer may think the vehicle is warmer then it is an giving it less fuel . Is high-octane gas killing my older engine?

The gas is not the problem. You have problems with the engine and related control system.

I' ve just got my driver license, and I don' know anything about cars, My car is '99 chevy escort. Do I need to warm up the car everytime I drive? Some people say "Yes" somepeople say...

There is no need to warm the car up these days. With newer engines and lighter oils the engine will start circulating the oil before you even get a chance to put the car in drive. Don't waist your time or gas by idling. In older engines it was necessary. It use to be that the engine would have to warm the oil up before it full circulated through the engine, thus if you drove it before it warmed up you would cause damage to the bearings in the engine due to lack of lubrication.

Mitsubishi Triton V6 lacks power on acceleration

full power is only achieved when the engine is fully warm(operating temp).so if you accelerate more than, say, a third of the gas pedal, the car will feel sluggish.
this is more apparent when first starting the car in the morning in winter.almost like the car is going to stall.
most wear in the engine is leaving it to idle when cold you should always drive the car straight away from cold.then when hot turn on the a/c if required....

Hi i have a 2004 vw t5 transporter 174 kombi when accelorating hard it hesitates especially when towing it seems worse when engine is warm

Check the engine codes at Autozone or a place like that. Then check fuel pressure, change fuel filter, and listen for hissing when you remove the gas cap, from a possible bad purge valve.
Final advice is to try a slightly smaller spark plug gap, because it will not blow out the spark as easily when under load.

Engine Lurching in Cold Weather on Highway

I recommend a trans fluid and filter change first. It definately sounds like the problem is in the trans. If it was any sort of engine component you would have had a check engine light on.
