Question about 2002 Ford Explorer
Try the swich and see if you here it trying to move. If not you may have a broken wire runing from the fuse box under the carpet and to the motor. Or a broken ground wire if used.

Power seat are known to blow fuses, and motors.
Manual engaging, stuck from disconnected spring or handle.
Material under seat preventing movement.

while holding the switch in the up position, bang on the middle part of the door panel, if the motor is stuck then this will usually unstick it. but if motor is running then you will need a new window regulator.

Wil it work at the door switch or not at either switch? If not make sure you have power and ground to the motor in up and down positions. if so suspect the motor.Also the cable operated regulators break and will not let the window go up or down

you must remove brakes, then remove axle nut, then remove upper control arm and finally tie rod stabilizer, remove axle from car then bearing can be accessed. this is a difficult job that requires special tools so be careful

the switch has failed or a combination of the switch and motor. the switch will be the easiest to replaace as you will have to remove and on some vehicle partially disassemble the seat to do the motor. The switch os mounted on the plastic panel which is held to the seat usually by 2 - 4 screws.
