You don't need to.There isn't any thing behind the wheel that you can tighten. A sloppy steering column has to be removed to replace any parts making it sloppy. You best bet is to call around local junk yards or maybe Ebay and find a replacement column. Your not going to find the parts you need to fix it.

I brought in my car for a vehicle state inspection and the mechanic said it failed because of a loose steering column. I also searched on some website forums stating that there are a few bolts that come loose on these model vehicles that can be retightened and fitted with loc-tite.

Is the wheel loose or the column. The column has 2 to 4 bolts under the dash. The steering wheel is different. It has a bushing that can be replaced, if the wheel has slop up and down, and left to right. If you have tilt wheel, then it is most like y the universal in the column that is bad. It is part of the shaft and is only bought with the shaft. You won't find either of those parts. Hope yours is just the bolts. Look under the dash, you will see the bolts that hold the column.

What makes the fuel pump not kick on on a 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.

How do you change a turn signal switch in a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S V6 with tilt wheel and cruise control?

You have to remove the steering wheel and the plate that is behind it with two screwdrivers. unplug the wire hareness to that. you will also have to remove the screws that hold you hazzard light button on and remove the bottom of the steering column. Tie a string or wire to the harness so you can pull that back thru the column whn you have to reattach the new one.

Where is the flasher located on a 1995 cutlass ciera

I have one of these cars and love it. I bought my wife a Buick Century. The closest thing available and now the Ciera is my work car. It has been awhile. Remove the bottom of the dash left of the steering column. The flasher is just to the left of the column. Three screws, easy!

I need to locate and replace the multi function switch

My turn signal flasher was located to the right of the ash tray, I looked around the column for HOURS and it wasn't there... I also have an 93 oldsmobile cutlass ciera, it drove me crazy because the manual wasn't correct.
