Hi Joe:
The chances are pretty good that the spring in the horn button, or a part of the circuit in the area of the horn button is allowing unwanted contact. Finding the cause requires accessing the horn switch in the center of the steering wheel. To avoid driving the neighbors dog crazy, first disconnect the battery ground terminal. Then remove the horn button. Not sure which one you have, but try pushing it down and then turning it to left. Some of them also just pry gently upwards. Once the button is out of the way, you should be able to see the connector pin, spring, and contact points. Clean them all up and confirm they are free to move like they are supposed to. Re-assemble, then re-connect the battery and test.

2001 chevrolate s10 horn dont sound when pressing horn switch.

Could be the horn itself, the relay, the fuse, or the horn pad on the steering wheel. A mechanic would check for voltage at the fuse and relay first.

I have a 2001 stratus and the horn doesn't work. When I press the horn I hear a clicking sound. The fuse is OK, what's the problem

The clicking sound you are hearing is the horn relay engaging trying to supply power to your horn. Most likely horn itself needs to be replaced. Locate horn underneath in front near grill. With test light check for ground & with someone pushing on horn switch, check for positive. If you have good ground & power when pushing on horn switch need to replace horn.

Mw horn decided to be quite all of a sudden after using it fir thirty seconds

Sounds like a rely or fuse, check you manual for the fuse box location and then check the fuse for the horn. If the fuse is good, check for votage with a voltage meter at the horn when you have someone else honking it and see if you are getting 12 volt to the horn itself. If you are getting voltage then the horn itself is bad. Sometime just tapping the horn can make it start working again.

My horn isn't working when i push it i hear clicking coming from where the fuse box is located

that sound that uyou are hearing is the horn relay clicking. you will have to go directly to the source which is the horn itself. Try adding power to the horn itself, to see if it will blow. Looking at the age of the car, most likely it will be the horn.

1999 Oldsmobile cutlass horn sound by itself. What

The horn pad has shrunk dued to the climate change through the years. The pad is made of vinyl and does retract causing this to happen. The best way to repair this since new ones are most likely discontinued is to find a used one from a state such as Arizona California were the climate is steady year round
You will have better luck with this replacement for many years to come

Horn not working ! it worked once then stopped any

start at the horn to see if it the wire is connected, then i would remove that wire and use a jumper wire from a positive(battery) to the horn itself and see if you get any sound. If the horn beeps then the horn itself is not the issue. check your horn fuse and relay. if you are getting power at the fuse and relay it is somewhere in the steering column. possible the horn pad itself or the horn cam. If you have have this in for repairs in the past dealing with the steering column it might not have been hooked back up properly. but then again how often do you use your horn it might have been not working for quite awhile. hope this helps.

Horn stopped blowing

Sounds like you may have corroded terminals on the horn itself.

Find the horn in the engine compartment - remove the wire connected to it - clean the spade terminal with some sand paper and push the terminal back on. If that doesn't work you may need to remove the horn from the car and clean up the earth connection, i.e. where the horn is attached to the body work of the car to get a good electrical contact.
