TAKE YOUR CAR TO A OUTO ELECTRICIAN IF YOU DONT KNOW THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES,first you need to look under the car by the outo box you will find a switch that turns the light on when you select drive make sure it is working ,if not then replace,if the switch is working then take out the cluster unit(that is the clocks)behind the cluster you will find globe holders, check the one for the d light it is probably just blown, replace the globe and assemble again.

2008 camry dashboard lights don't work when headlights are on

I know sounds simple but look to the left of the steering column for a rotary swith that goes up and down. This is the dimmer switch that can completely turn down or off what lights are on your display. Forgive me if this is not the case.

Headlights don't work why?

Test the headlight switch as follows.
  • Move your car to a dark area, such as waiting until night or moving to a dark garage, to test your headlight switch.
  • 2Turn on your car, so you can see your dashboard lights. Note whether some of your dashboard lights fail to illuminate.

    • 3
  • Turn on your car's headlights. Note whether your car's headlights illuminate.
  • 4Press the high beam lever to activate your high beams. Note whether your high beams activate.
  • 5Put your car in "Park." Move to the back of the car. Note whether your parking lights are illuminated.
  • 6View any remaining driving lights, such as lights above the license plate. Note whether these lights come on.
If more than one set of lights does not activate when you turn on the lights, you may need to replace your headlight switch. If only one set of lights does not turn on, try replacing the lightbulbs in that set and then retesting your car. If the lights still do not illuminate, you may need to replace your headlight switch.

I have a 2003 Infiniti m45 and every time I turn the headlights on the dashboard lights gets dim what's the problem?

There is nothign wrong with your car-when you turn on the headlights the car believes you are turnung them on because it is dark outside, so it automatically dims your dashboard lights for you (since it now thinks it's nighttime). Your car already has daytime running lights, so you don't need to turn your headlights on in the daytime-they come on automatically when the car is running. You can keep your dash lights dim or bright by adjusting the small black dial on the left side of the dashboard, whether headlights are on or off if you want to.

How can I figure out why fuse 15A keeps blowing? My dashboard lights don't work nor do the back lights. My breaks and signals work but at night when I turn the car on the regular lights in the back...

There is a shorted wire somewhere in that circuit. Check to see if any wires are pinched under a bracket or brace where he was working. I have seen it where it was a light bulb the was bad. Need someone familiar with a volt/ohm meter to help trace problem. Good Luck. You did not state where he had been working.

I can`t find the fuse for the dashboard lights on my 2000 jetta.

First, make sure it's not that your dimmer switch has been turned all the way down.
Check fuse 22 and 23. If they're good then you may have a bad ground somewhere. Check the board and fuse box under the battery (yes, I know - but thats where vw located it) for corrosion.

1996 toyota camry LE bad water leak, middle of the engne near pan. OK. First symptoms were over heating, loss of coolant, water in tail pipe, no heat. Car has overheated once before and I replaced radiator. The head gasket is definitely blown, and in the past I used a liquid repair which held up 2 1/2 years. I removed the thermostat, filled system with water and got decent heat...for awhile. car usually runs "normal" hot about half way mark on temp indicator. My radiator cap came apart, so I went to Autozone and got more bars leak, a new cap and some antifreeze I'll put a new thermostat in later. In trying to stop this leak I did manage to slow down the water from the exhaust. Even with thermostat out, interior heat doesn't stay that hot or that constant. When I am facing the front of the vehicle with steering wheel to my right, I look underneath and there is a very steady heavy drip (like leaving the kitchen sink on until it just starts to NOT be a steady stream). The water pump does operate. I can see this when I pull the cap and look. No hose or radiator leaks (I am talking the two from radiator rubber hoses only here). Water pump is NOT original and is within 3-4 years of being new. It was original OEM as well. Right now I am in the final stages of the Bar's Block Seal additive where the last phase is let it run at 1500 RPM's 20 minutes, then drain and leave cap off overnight. I am still losing about maybe 1/2 gallon water sitting at idle. The car doe NOT now over heat but I am sure it would if I wasn't continually adding water. I know as I said, HG is gone. But this leak from under the engine...any ideas? I can use more Stop leak as I know it will temporarily fix the HG but I am at a loss as to what could cause such a heavy leak. Coupled with inconsistent interior heat, I am thinking there is some issue with the heater core. Oh yeah, I can hear water bubbling after i turn of the engine,. car has right at 228K and other than this issue, has run like a top.
