There is a slash mark or cut on the flywheel damper, that aligns with the punch mark on camshaft. You should line these marks up before replacing timing chain, or belt.

How do I find timing marks on the harmonic balancer on 3litre 2006 ford fanger

Timing marks are increasingly being deleted from crank pulleys and harmonic dampers as they serve little purpose in this era of electronic engine management.
Timing belt and chain alignment marks are provided where they need to be for routine chain or belt replacements and subsequent overhaul work but even these are being superseded now engines are being jigged into alignment and assembled by robots. Workshops are increasingly expected to invest in special service tools for engine alignment.

If you can't find timing marks, the reason could be they simply aren't there.

Instruction changing timing belt 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloz?

With Cam Caps loosened, FIRST loosen timing chain tensioner, press it in to loosen tension, Crank using ratchet to TDC (Top Dead Center on crank pully, (to keep from damage to pistons), align Exhaust Cam Timing Mark to mark on #1 Exhaust cam cover, then take up slack between Exhaust & Intake Cams (on top between the cams), Then align the Intake Cam to mark on #1 Cam Cap, "Now" loosen the 17mm bolt to tighten timing chain, rotate engine using rachet two times, reset TDC at the crank, and look at "Cam Timing Marks on both the Exhaust, and Intake Cams. If you did all this correctly the "Timing Marks" should be lined up so TDC,Exhaust, and Intake marks are all the same.

Could you let me know where the timing marks are for a Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS

check around the inside (towards the block) edge or crank shaft pulley by the lower passenger side of the engine. Otherwise it will be by that pulley on the bloc, those are the only laces I've known them to be. Hope it helps
