I agree with the above post. These older fords have had problems with the battery cable ends having high resistance. You can try moving the cable ends on the battery if the headlights dont work. If the headlights work, try tapping on the starter motor with a prybar or hammer handle while someone holds the key in the start position.

Make sure the battery is fully charged first. Now you need to find out if spark to the spark-plugs is present and that the fuel pump is working. Let me know and we'll go from there.

they are "coil on plug" design, so you have to remove the ignition coils to get to the plugs.
they are along side of the valve cover near the fuel injectors

the first thing is to scan computer for codes, and also pay attention to the anti theft system, if the key chip is bad car will not start,then check coil,
