Question about Cars & Trucks
Got this truck from someone else. Handed the Harmonic Balancer with the truck. Is there anything else involved with a replacement?
Normally they are held on with a big bolt or pressed on
some real trucks have a nut and a taper sleeve that has to be pulled out first before the balancer will come off
basic small vehicle stuff --undo the bolt and use a harmonic balancer puller to get it off
Take care if there is a crank position sensor behind the pulley or hub
Best get a workshop manual for your vehicle ( you forgot to mention what it is) and read up on how to do the job.
