Carfax will only work if the car has ever been worked on under one of their dealerships otherwise it will not tell you anything have a compression test done and for sure check if it has a timing belt and it only has 39,000 the timing belt should look new if the timing belt is old and is probably got way more miles

If its worth a few dollars do a Carfax on it and it'll tell you everything you want to know. Pull the oil filler cap off and let it set loosely on the threads while engine is idling, running. If it dances around at all its got more than 40,000 on it. Look at the odometer and if the numbers are in anything other than a perfect line its been tampered. Carfax is best and most reliable.

Where is the fuse located for a 1976 spit fire 1500 wiper motor

Firewall drivers side of engine compartment A weak point in a spit to say the least. Each of the legs on the fuse holder is a separate circuit. If you test the top leg it does not mean that the leg on the bottom is working. 1 fuse for two circuit will make you crazy if you do not know that detail.

2001 chevy silverado /170000 plus mileson when i went to pull out briskly the motor started tapping and lost constant oil pressure when it is idling the oil pressure goes down to almost zero and the op...

Sounds like your oil pump is "getting tired". If you plan on keeping it for any length of time, you're probably going to have to replace oil pump. To replace you'll need to drain oil, drop oil pan and you'll find oil pump and pick up tube and strainer bolted to lower part of engine. Unbolt, slide out holding oil pump shaft in engine, slide new pump/strainer and pickup in place, bolt in place, reinstall pan and refill with oil.

My tarus the transmission is slipping its a 1992 it has 87 thousand mileson it what can i do to stop that from happening

You could change the filter and put in new fluid. It might work but if it doesn't it will need to be rebuilt. First thing before you do anyof this is to make sure you have enough fluid in the trans.

Won't start, no click, leave for a while turn key it starts.

See if pulling up on the shifter lever makes it start.  You may have a bad switch.  Or try cleaning the battery terminals and retightening the battery terminals solves the problem.
