Have you checked your brake pedal switch to ensure it is working? You can short that out to check that. Off the top of my head there could be one under the hood in the engine compartment or under the dash or open both front doors and look on the ends of the dash panels. They are normally covered when the doors are closed

I had an 88 gmc and my taillight problem was a bad ground from the rear lights cluster up by the spare tire to the frame

you could have an air lock in the system. Run with rad cap off and cycle the thermostat, adding coolant as required. Or a possible heater core.

You always add transmission fluid while the car is at running temps because transmission fluid expands when it's hot.

Typically the Neutral Safety Switches are located with the gear selector, either in the column or the floor.

actually it is very basic check the associated fuse if good go to the reverse nuetral saftey switch you should see power on a wire and when you go into reverse you will see power on two wires....let me know
