Sounds like your brake booster is going out or has gone out that's what causes the brake pedal to get hard change that out and that should fix your problem. hope this helps have a nice day

if its like the 4-runner or the tacoma its not very hard at all. its not too hard to get to so i think youll be ok i havent done one on this truck yet so im only guessing.
one of the spark plug coils is shorting out take to a shop whose scantool (computer) has an misfire monitor on it they will be able to find which coil it is. if you don't have a check engine light.
o easy enough just jack frontcar up use jackstand for safety now loo up under the bumper where fog lights sit depending on style fog light u might need to pull the whole assembly out or just twist the bulb not a hard task once u see it from underneath it is pretty easy
