Are you a DIYer? If so, you definitely need a repair manual.
You will want one next time anyway. Your favorite auto parts store should have it, if not, try filepeep.com or manualslib.com

2004 Acura Mdx replace front axel

buy a complete aftermarket Half Shaft drive shaft. comes pre assembled. arrange for a wheel alignment at closest shop to you .first take off center cap of side to be replaced, that gold nut there is tight but with a long breaker bar and your weight it will unscrew, even with that dent in, borrow these tools from auto store loosen 1 turn, loosen wheel lugs jack up car till tires off ground lift by frame so wheels hang, block rear tires get a coat hanger or bailing wire to hang brake caliper. remove wheel place under vehicle under door. remove entire brake caliper,i take off by allen headscrews put shoes in clean place and hang caliper then remove caliper mount with bolts on back . with a ball joint remover (the big one)$25 pop the lower ball joint of the suspension , and with a flat prybar pry the half shaft out of the side of the engine pull it from the large round part right next to the motor not the shaft ,pry some more it will slide out remove entire half shaft remove the large bolt at this time and work it off from both sides, replace oil seal where half shaft goes in at this time is just pulls out and pushes in no tools, now put the new half shaft in maybe both sides not sure how tight this model is, you will need a heavy mallet and a piece of wood to smack that shaft in the last inch, depending on which side mine was on passenger side put the wood against the shaft and smack the wood as to not damage end of shaft , when it goes in, it will, replace all screws and put that gold, new one, nut on as far as you can. fit the bottom ball screw back in its seat and tighten and replace cotter pin remount caliper frame and caliper check all bolts tighten , replace wheel on car and hand tighten lug nuts drop car down thighten wheel and tighten that gold nut tight then tighten some more with that breaker bar and your weight , stand on it a little , not all your weight, make the dent back in that of that gold nut at the keyway so it wont come off.
Rotor replacement can be done at point where half shaft has just been removed form motor. 4 screws on back side of rotor can be accessed and removed . remove entire rotor set and then separate rotor from frame. I recommend real OEM rotors and scratch them before mounting for best results , replace all shoes. you should be done and saved a 1000 dollars your welcome

Front passenger side broken axle

Need to replace the drive shaft. Aftermarket parts work fine. The biggest issue is removing inside connection to the half shaft. The clip ring tension is stronger than the boot holding the inboard joint on the drive shaft. To break it loose get a large screw driver and from under the car in front hit the inboard joint hard several times until it over comes the clip ring. Remember... always use jack stands when working under the car.

94 mazda 626 cv shaft removal

Stick a large screwdriver or prybar between the CV housing and the transmission case, and pop it out. There is a little circlip in a groove near the end of the shaft inside the transaxle. It is there to seat the shaft and prevent it from slipping out during driving.

How do you remove the cv joint on the left side from the transmission?

YOU NEED A PULLER ON THE OUTSIDE WHEEL HUB PUSHING THE HALF SHAFT FROM THE FRONT HUB,THEN TAP THE SHAFT UNION AT THE JOINT CASE WITH A PLASTIC HAMMER TO REMOVE THE HALFSHAFT AND INNER SHAFT FROM THE TRANSAXLE. IF YOU HAVE AN INNER SHAFT REMOVE THE HALFSHAFT BY SETTING UP A PULLER ON THE OUTSIDE WHEEL HUB AND PRESSING THE HALFSHAFT FROM THE FRONT HUB. AFTER PRESSING THE OUTER SHAFT INSERT A PRYBAR BETWEEN THE TRANSAXLE CASE AND THE HALFSHAFT AND PRY THE HALF SHAFT FROM THE TRANSAXLE DONT PULL ON THE SHAFT.

Please describe your how to change a drive shaft on a nissan quest 1997 problem:

two axles, different for ach side. Passenger side has a carrier on the half shaft, driver side is one solid link. Loosen lug nuts, the you need a 36mm socket to loosen the center nut on the drive shaft, same for both sides. Remove the cotter pin and retainer before loosening the center nut. Jack up the vehicle and secure with jack stands. Remove wheels. Remove brake calipers and tie up out of the way. Loosen and remove lower strut bolts (2) and lower ball joint bolts (3). Swing center knuckle out and off the drive shaft. On passenger side, loosen carrier bolts (3) halfway up the drive shaft, above the exhaust pipe and crossmember. This is a pain on the 94, but easier on later models. The passenger shaft has two half shafts joined at the carrier. No retainer clip is used, so pull on the end of the shaft and it will come out. Iff the inner CV boot is puked, it will probably come out in two pieces. You may have to use a large screwdriver to pry the inner shaft out of the transaxle. The driver side does not use a carrier and will come out with a strong pull. It does use a retainer clip on the inside end of the driveshaft. You can get new driveshafts with cvs as an assembly at most auto parts stores, about 60-80 bucks with exchange. Be sure the new driver side shaft has the new retainer clip on it. Assembly is reverse of dissassembly, but make sure to tighten everything up good.

I have a 97 trans sport and when i drive it it pops real loud, and almost feels like passenger side front end jumps

check your front wheel drive axles/half shafts, see if the rubber boots that cover the bearings are not torn or missing.. sounds like you might need to replace the axle/half shaft on the passengers side
