Codes may be clear, but in order to function, replacement codes need to be installed.

The first thing that you must do here is to have the systems computer checked for fault codes, it should have a few in memory. the codes are read through the diagnostic port under the dash.

I have an audi 2.6 (1999), it is over-fueling, how can this be corrected

Check for error codes first and correct them. The ECU might be making a rich mix because it is getting wrong info from sensors. Fix and clear any errors and see what happens.

P0302 cylinder misfire i change the spack plug but this still on ?

Galsense,

You didnt mention whether or not you cleared the codes. Typically you can clear the ECU codes by disconnecting the battery for a few mins and putting it back on. Otherwise you need to use a code reader to clear the codes. The code will not just fix itself once the problem is resolved. You need to clear the codes and then see if the check engine light/code comes back.

On a side, note the misfire can be caused by a few different things. However first reset the codes and see what happens

Good luck.

It's the plug wires, I would peek at the engine at night when it is dark, and running to see if you can see a spark jumping across there. I'm surprised the code didn't say plug wires. Hope this helps.

How do i clear codes on my audi computer

u can either use a scan tool to clear them or disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. If the problems that set these codes is not repaired they will come back into memory along with the check engine light being on in a day or so..

2004 Audi allroad V8 Check Engine Light ON: 65,000 miles.

It can be your CO2 sensor. And another one that all ways makes the check engine light come on is your gas cap be for you turn your car on make sure your gas cap is on like 3 clicks then go clear the codes. If that doesn't help then good luck

1997 Audi A8 Will not start after disconnecting battery

You may have a DBW (drive by wire) car. If so, reconnect the battery and then turn the key on (don't start the car though). Do this with the hood open. Turn the key and then see if you have a high-pitched whining hum from the engine bay. If so, that's likely the throttle body readjusting its position. This can make a big difference in driveability, and is worth a shot. If the 97 didn't have DBW, you won't harm anything in trying it out.
